I Had A Dream |
|
Last night I dreamt I was playing golf. My ball landed in a sand trap. When I got to the sand it was so large all I could see were dunes stretching down to the green ocean. I wonder what that meant? If you know please tell me and if you don't please tell one of your dreams. Thanks Ivor

TheSpy (3383) | 4 months ago | Hi Brinda: I don't think Pywacket will find me so please look up the dream for me. I know recurring dreams mean much more than ones you dream only once. I'm still on the mission and it is going well. Thanks for being the first friend to respond to this discussion. Have a great evening. Ivor

Katesmama (3232) | 4 months ago | I've got a site I found, I can't get my book. Of golf, it says, to dream that you are playing or watching golf, signifies pleasant indulgences. It may also indicate that you are idling and wasting time. Alternatively, the dream symbolizes your individual accomplishments and your drive to succeed. It says of playing a game in a dream signifies relaxation or competition. It may also represent the rules you play by. Of sand it says, To see sand in your dream, signifies a shift in perspective or a change in your attitude. Consider also the familiar phrase, "the sands of time" in which it may be suggesting that you are wasting your time or letting time pass you by. Of the ocean, to see an ocean in your dream, represents the state of your emotions and feelings. It is indicative of some spiritual refreshment, tranquility and renewal. To dream that you are traveling across the ocean, signifies new found freedom and independence. You are showing great courage. *Please See Also Water. (To see water in your dream, symbolizes your unconscious and your emotional state of mind. Water is the living essence of the psyche and the flow of life energy. It is also symbolic of spirituality, knowledge, healing and refreshment. To dream that water is boiling, suggests that you are expressing some emotional turmoil. It also may mean that feelings from your unconscious are surfacing and ready to be acknowledged. ) And of Green, Green signifies a positive change, good health, growth, healing, hope, vigor, vitality, peace, and serenity. Green is also symbolic of your strive to gain recognition and establish your independence. But it also says you should evaluate what that color signifies in your own life. Here is the website, Ivor. http://www.dreammoods.com/ To see wet sand in your dream, indicates that you are lacking a sense of balance in your life.

TheSpy (3383) | 4 months ago | Thanks Pywacket. Golf To be playing golf or watching the game, denotes that pleasant and successive wishing will be indulged in by you. To see any unpleasantness connected with golf, you will be humiliated by some thoughtless person. Along with the sand it doesn't sound good.

2. BarBaraPrz (1548) | 4 months ago | Well, first, I have to ask, "Do you actually play golf?" If so, it might mean nothing more than you were just having a night off. Or, it could mean that you feel small and lost in your life. Perhaps it needs looking at (your life, not the dream). BTW, how's your grandfather doing?

TheSpy (3383) | 4 months ago | Hi Barbara: I don't play golf a lot. I am still on the mission and I hope it doesn't mean I'm lost... but I am trying to keep hidden. Last time I heard from my family the told me he went to the urologist who did one test...and that it was fine. Now is waiting to have another test and and an ultra sound. Thanks for asking. Thanks for taking part in this discussion. Have a great evening. Ivor

4. patgalca (5241) | 4 months ago | My dream dictionary reads as follows: Sand dreams of walking on sand, particularly deep, soft sand or sand dunes, reflect feelings of insecurity on the part of the dreamer. My daughter dreamed the other night that she was kicking a soccer ball. She woke up in the morning with a sore foot. I told her I had her a loud bang during the night so I think she kicked the wall! She is a soccer player so her dream probably has no meaning.

5. Angelwhispers (4601) | 4 months ago | Ivor I have no idea what it means but maybe you should not eat so close to bed time:))) Teasing you sugar. I have crazy dreams like that all of the time. However I am not golfing. I would not even know how to swing a club, but getting lost on a sandy beach sounds wonderful.... maybe thats what is means, You need a rest out on a quiet beach.

7. aseretdd (4125) | 4 months ago | Most dreams are quite weird... and there are no ways of interpreting them... most of the times they tell us something about what we want in life or our stress and frustration... I believe that we are the only ones who can interpret our own dream... so i suggest you reflect on your current life to understand what that dream was... if we remember the dream... then i can tell us a lot about ourselves...

10. beautyqueen26 (7637) | 4 months ago | I wish that I could help you, my friend. The past three days, I've been plagued my vivid dreams, too. Mostly nightmares. Not like monster nightmares, but thoughts of people from my past. Then last night, the sensation that I was passenger in a car, and was being chased by someone and then in the woods. How bizarre! I'm sure that I just picked up the images from somewhere. Not sure where, though. For almost a year, I had nightmares that my teeth were literally breaking in my mouth and falling out of my head. This happened shortly after I renewed a "friendship" with someone from my past. I did a lot of reading on dream interpretation and found out that broken teeth or teeth falling out often symbolizes not feeling in control of one's own life. I am not sure if that was the correct interpretation of the dream, but it did fit. It was right after my brother died. So, I felt very isolated and out of place. I hope that you find the meaning of your dream. I did some google research and came upon differing opinions, but could not decide which one matched close enough to offer a solution. I did come across an interesting golf interpretation that might fit your situation. "golf often revolves around the need to get closer and closer to some goal before eventually you succeed. So think of moments where you wanted to get 'closer and closer to the truth' or where you wanted 'to achieve some goal and each time you were getting closer and closer without actually succeeding" Perhaps relating to a life goal, personal goal, business objective. You know your own life, better than anyone. Have you been trying to get close to a "target" goal lately, with little or no success? Perhaps you will achieve that goal soon. Either way, best of luck. Be well, my friend, Be safe on your journey. Your friend BeautyQueen
