What's the one thing in life that you've always/once wanted but you never can't

What I've always wanted is not something I would buy but rather something I want to be and that is becoming a model. I love fashion and clothes so I figured becoming a model is fun because you get to dress up all the time and sometimes get free clothes from designers. But it's something I can't be because I am short and I don't have a body for it, but I can always dream can't I?

Goodness, about 45 years ago when I was a tiny little girl we were living in Germany. (I would have been about five or six)

I saw my first Thumbalina baby-doll. She was life size and had a knob in her back that you could turn and she would move like a real baby.

I wanted one of those dolls so bad I would dream about her. I remember one night I dreamt I had one and it was under the bed. I woke up, jumped out of bed and looked under it, but there was no thumbalina lol.

Weird thing is I never told my parents I wanted one. I know if I had, they would have gotten her for me for my birthday or Christmas.

Years later when I was ten I got my first Thumbalina, by then she had been reworked, she was only like 11 inches long and had a drawsting in her back. Not the same at all.

I've had three little babies of my own over the last 30 years. Yet, sometimes when I buy a new shower curtian, the smell of the curtian will be the same as that little doll in Germany and I'll remember and smile.

hi dissy I have always wanted to have a piano of my own
but never had the money or the place to put it, and
now I am elderly but still would love to have a piano
so I could learn how to play it and play my own music
all the time. I love classical musica and find it
really calms and soothes me when I am up tight. I would
love to be able to play classical pieces on the piano. I do listen to classical music on my computer all the time when I feel stressed or uptight.

Well I have this favorite car that I have been dreaming also since I was a kid. It's the Lamborghini Countach, it is a red car that was way beyond its time. Until now it is still my dream and very very far from becoming true unless I win in the next Lottery.

Ohhhh Dissy what I would want more than anything else is a kitty but it will remain a dream here too.
When I was a child I could not have one as my mom hates cats and so I started collecting stuffed animals, postcards, earrings, writing paper, socks with cats on, posters, mugs with cats on............

In 1994 I moved into my first own apartment and there would have been room for a cat as well but said apartment was under the roof and very warm in summertime so no condition for a furry friend to move in as well.

Now I live in another town together with my husband. Guess what. Enough space in the apartment, litter box could be in the guests loo, food bowl in the kitchen but.........
CONTRACT forbids cats and dogs in the apartment.

maybe when I am retired...... and in another apartment......

i wanted to marry kobe bryant or allen iverson when i was younger, i even hated their wives and got hurt when kobe got married.

for me it's a soulmate cuz guys just care about physical contacts.

Hi uncancallmedissy, When I'm a kid I want to have a very nice shoe every christmas but the problem is my parents buy mo those cheap ones. So I tried to save for myself and buy the expensive one. When I got to highschool I wanted to have a laptop but never had it. When I'm in college I still don't have the laptop but now I want a car. Now that I am a successful businessman I have it all.

I would love to buy a new house, or have one built just the way I want it, but I know that will never happen because I'll never have that kind of money...lol. The other thing is I'd like to have a Hummer H3, I think they are beautiful cars, I see them around here sometimes, but of course I don't have the money, but if I ever came into some, thats the vehicle I would buy first.
