After I watched The Pirates of the Carribean I decided to take history lessons | | I didn't know that 'Port Royal' was really a historic place in Jamaica or that 'piracy' was legally instituted against the Spanish Government by Queen Elizabeth the first. It's ironic how a movie can provoke curiosity about the actual story and the time frame of the story. There are many movies that would do this for me like "Forest Gump" for instance, but The Pirates of The Carribean was more likely to have happened in real life and I wanted to find out for myself. Has anyone else looked into the history of pirates after they watched this movie also?
