Selling on ebay

Firstly welcome to Mylot, I have sold a lot on Ebay but I have found you have to be very picky what you put up..as once postage is added it sometimes is not worth people buying unless of course it is a collectable item, that is the one area you should study ...to see what people are collecting, like I have found one thing I have been looking at for someone is donkey ornaments, they are very popular at least here in Australia.

Welcome to mylot. I am sure you will enjoy your time here. I wish I had read discussions before I jumped in head first.. my first few were horrible and got no responses. But, I see you were more thoughtful about yours.:)

Keep posting well thought out discussions.. you will get the hang of it. When you reply to a discussion.. make sure your replies are well thought out too. Not just a 1 or 2 word answer



As for your question... I am anti-greedyfeepay all the way. As a former seller, I became disgusted with all of the fee increases, changes in feedback.. EVERYTHING! Check out my thoughts (along with others)

If you still do decide to sell on greedbay... I wish you all the luck in the world. Go to ebays answer center for any help, I was an active participant there for a looooooong time before I quit selling. Read up on the policies, what can be sold, what can't. Read al you can... much like you did here before diving in head first so you make fewer mistakes than those who don't.

Welcome to myLot!! If you are thinking about selling on eBay, do a search of the items you are thinking about selling. Search to see how much they've sold for in the past (completed items- the search can be found in the lefthand panel on the "My Ebay" page)
If the items have been selling for a decent price, then you might consider selling.
When I have an item I'm selling, I'll list it at a price I'm okay with it selling for. Rather than list it for 99 cents, I'll list it for $4.99 and if it gets only one bid, then I'm okay with $4.99. But one bid at 99 cents and I'm not happy.
Remember that it's summer in the US and right now, it's a very busy vacation time, so bidders may not be sitting on their computer right now, looking to bid on items.

I guess selling on ebay.com & ebay.com.my ( Malaysia - taht's where I come from ) is totally a different thing because we don't have listing fees, insertion fees, final value fees, etc. So I would say we're ( my wife & I ) pretty much enjoying that at the moment
