Do accents make people more attractive?

oooh i have always had a thing about a man with an irish accent. i absolutly adore it, im not into brittish accents, being a brit living in england i hear too many of them lol.
but an irish accent can make me weak at the knees lol!

no, for me it doesn't... i never attracted to people because of their looks or physical appearance... i think inner beauty matters more than outer beauty... especially accents... i never care about people's accents... as long as i can understand what they are talking about, i am happy regardless of what accents they have... take care and have a nice day...

My dearly beloved has a very marked accent, so obviously I'm going to say it makes someone more attractive Not everyone, obviously, but it's certainly an added bonus. When we first got together, I used to ask him to say my name all the time. He rolls the R in the way a native English speaker doesn't and I still love it.

I can't tell the English accents. But here sometimes we can tell the Chinese accents since we are Chinese. There are many dialects in China. I think it depends where you come from. If your accent is from a rich place, then perhaps it's an advantage. If not, then perhaps people will not be interested in you very much.

For me this really depends on the accent. There are accents that I cannot really understand what the person is saying. Some British accents are okay. Italian is alright. I have such a hard time understanding Japanese, Chinese, Korean and all other Asian accents. Which leads me to ask, for the foreigners out there, do we, Filipinos, have an accent??? Of course for us there isn't any.. but how do we sound to you?

Hi Katesmama! I think I like the Irish accent. It has more character and it sounds poetic in my ears. However, I am not attracted with accents alone, I really go for the character/attitude of a person. Accents are only nice to hear and it is the character of a man that matters the most.

Well katesmama, the guy looks good enough not to have to use accent. However, if it is combined with his charms, then all the better. I for one am not impressed with accents, I enjoy a sense of humour more and am more attracted to such people. I enjoy simple plain British english which is not slang and easy to understand.

Well, everyone has an accent, though I guess you wouldn't consider people with the same accent as you having an "accent"
I game with australians often, and they often comment on my american accent

I am turned off with someone who have a terrible accent! Others might be attracted to it but I don't. I am not sure if there is a hot accent, but maybe it depends on what country you are in.

I think a persons accent can definitely be attractive. I think it takes more than that to make a person really like them though. I think some of it has to do with looks and personality also.
