Do accents make people more attractive?

I wouldn't say that it makes them more attractive, at least not in my opinion. I just enjoy listening to people of different accents talk.

Looks do not matter to me at all. I dated a guy in my younger years for four years, from age 13 to 17 who was uglier than sin!! But he was good to me and I loved him. The reason we broke up is because my parents hated him because he took my virginity. OH WELL. However... to answer your question, yes one accent does turn me on and that is the english in England. Not the USA version but Englands version. Man! I love the way they pronouce the words!! LOL It just sounds so rich and sexy! LOL

I do love to listen to certain accents but I am not going to sleep with someone because of the way they sound when they talk. I have to get to know the person. Now look at me I can say this because I have been married for 31 years and have not slept with anyone except my hubby since we got married. I do not know what I would do if we were not together.

Accents actually do work for a lot of people. Take Doctor Who's David Tennant. His British accent is sexy, then again, David Tennant is sexy. Come one Doctor Who fans, you know this to be true.

I guess I've never viewed accents as being that important. My husband has a southern accent. We're both from Missouri, and people up here (in North Dakota) immediately assume we are from somewhere even more southern than that.

The only accents that I don't like are the ones that I can't understand! lol There's this one lady that always brought her kids into the barber shop, and she kind of sings what she says, and has this really weird high accent. I guess it sounds ok, as long as you don't have to know what she is saying!

I think that certain accents are attractive, and certain ones put me off.

Since english is the main mode of communication, I like the British accent the best. The Irish one is interesting, but it takes some effort to understand. I find it difficult to understand strong Indian accents, and it can be quite jarring sometimes.

Italian-accented English is quite attractive though, and although it can be hard to understand the lilt is something I find pleasant. Ultimately these things are subjective, and also depends on personal preference.

Yes, I believe accents certainly make people sound more attractive. I do not like high pitched accents or broad, harsh English dialects. I like articulate speech and find that the softer and more well rounded the accent, the more attracted I am to that person and the keener I am to hear them. I think the hottest accent is an English one, especially a South East one, though I do find some American accents pretty groovy.:o)

I feel accent makes people attractive. It also depends on the nature and attitude of the person. His accent might be good and maybe he is polite and gentle too, for which his female friends are getting attracted.

I don't know which accent is hottest no idea. I have heard people speaking in american, british english, but in our country, Indian languages regional languages itself have different accents.

I love the australian accent. Its absolutely sexy to hear an aussie girl talk, and well when I hear a guy from australia it makes me look too, and im 100% straight lol. I also like the kiwi accent, and southern accents. Not hillbilly but just southern, im originally from california, my ex girlfriend from texas her accent damn it was sexy, and now that im living in memphis tn, even further into the south lol, im hearing more of it. Though well living 5 years in the south im more used to it. I have a californian, texan, oklahoman, now memphis all merging together accent lol. When I first started talking to my ex in texas, I was still in california, so would call her a lot. I was looking up southern sayings and found did you eat yet, said really fast, didjaeatyet. I was talking to her and said that and she goes no not yet, HEEEY how did you learn that? lol. Then when we finally got together, she flew to phoenix az and I drove there, so I wouldnt have to go the whole way to austin by myself. On our way back she says we should take a jiggerjog this way, I was like um uh a what? She was surprised I had never heard that before lol, of course not, I was from california lol.
