Well for me its because Filipinos love to socialize lol. We wouldnt be the number 1 text/SMS capital in Asia (if not the world) for nothing. We love to connect with other people and it would be great if you get paid doing it. If you will notice Friendster is also very popular in Phils almost everybody have their account-its also a window for our relatives living/working abroad. Internet gives another reason for us to smile and earn as well

I guess I had no idea. Everyone on the planet loves to be online. I am happy that we are all one big happy family online. Not so happy with each other in real life, but online we are equal.

Pardon my ignorance but what is friendster? It's nice to see Filipinos on the site, I dream of visiting your country one day! It also might be something to do with Filipinos being rather good at English, perhaps better so than many other nationalities.

hi there. Hope you fulfill your dream one of these days :) Filipinos are good at English because we were under US for quite sometime. Friendster is similar to mylot. You can upload photos etc minus the discussion/forum. its also free, but you dont earn anything it just helps you find someone like old friends, classmate etc.

I honestly don't know, but you get weird little enclaves all over the Internet. Filipinos are social, friendly people, sure, but why only this site? You get masses of Brazilians on IRC, Estonians and Finns on MUDs, Koreans playing StarCraft. I've never really found any rhyme or reason to it, but there's a lot of niches online where you find an overwhelming, against the proportions you'd expect group of one nationality or region.
