I want to learn to write

Intelligence, to begin with, comes with knowing more and more which ever way you can. No one is born with it. You can enhance your knowlegde by reading, watching informative programs, listening to knowledgeable persons and in many other ways.
Secondly, you are wrong that you are not coherent or lack organisation. Even this writing that I am responding to seems fairly organised for someone believing he or she is not a good writer. Of course, you will learn to write a lot better with experience that comes from writing.
If you think that anyone can write in an organized manner without rewriting or editing, you are mistaken. Most of the writings you come across that are considered good have been rewritten more than once. Organisation and coherence comes from revision. When you first write anything, your only aim should be originality.

As for the sites to help write better, you can easily search them by typing tips on creative writing or tips on formal writing.

writersdigest is one such site(not necessarily the best though). Read as many guides that you find online and you would automatically find a common thread running through all of them.

I wouldn't say people are born with writing. Anybody can be a writer. I've written and published material but it just takes patience. I know this because I have to do the same thing. Sometimes my thoughts can be a bit limited but you work with what you got and think things through.

I have 3 sites you could try though there are others that you can publish writings at, Helium, Associated Content, and Triond. All those sites pay based upon my experience with the sites. I'm sure there are others but it comes down to what you're looking to do.

Anyone can write but not all can be writers. Theymust have the "it" factor where their readers will be mesmerized by thier choice of words. Maybe, you can train yourself but I am not sure there is really a school for that.

A famous English writer once said that the only way to learn to write is to write, and keep on writing. I have found this to be true. The more I write I find the easier it gets, and I think my work improves the more I write. I read a lot too.

If you can write a lot of responses at myLot you are already in the practice of writing. If you keep reading and writing articles at different websites you will soon be able to tell the well written articles from the badly written ones.

I think good writing is a skill which can be acquired. Talent comes into it, more so in creative writing. I think being able to write good informative articles is a mixture of writing skill and natural talent.

As much as anything can be inborn talent, talent can also be learned. Anyone can write as long as they want to, you just have to read more good manuscripts of those that interest you. Just have to read some very nice literature to establish that sense of foundation so that you can distinguish present compositions that are written by others.

Creative writing, creative non-fiction, poetry are just few that involves writing that can hone one's skill in writing. When you can write with creativity, your informative and technical writings can become more than factual enumerations as well.

Just continue to read and write. Just type in 'creative writing' on a search engine and you'd be provided with numerous sites that can help you.

A lot of it is usually natural talent. My brother can take a topic he knows nothing about and Bull**** stuff for a few pages and make a great essay. I personally stuggle in writing. I am a decent writer, but similar to you I only do the required ammount. I have been learning tips from my brother like how to bring thoughts together and my school essays have been better but its still a work in process. I think the more practice actually helps because you learn techniques to use in future papers.

A chinese writer once said what you speak is an essay,that means everyone can write articles. but to a writer,he should writer good articles,which can wove readers.so if you want to wrrite a beautiful atrticle,first you should be moved by it.I suggest to write diary or blog first,then post your works on some big forums to collect criticism.
Honest speaking,i am not a native english speaker.the reason i keep visiting mylot is to improve my english,so you don't need warry anything,just write and write,write everything that come though you brain,your opinion about social problem,your feeling of your life.where there is a will,there is a way.I believe you can make it.

I would think that you are in a great place to test your skills in writing and become a better writer at the same time, just by posting things here as you are you will be able to judge by the responses of others to what you have to say just how well you are doing in your writing and taking constructive critism will help you to become a stronger writer as well.

Of course in order for you to become a good writer the first thing you should do is to start writing and reading. Through this you will have a better insight of things and therefore it could improve your writing skills. Another is don't be afraid to use your imagination and creativity, because through this your works will become original and of course it would form your identity as a writer.

If you want to write, then read. Read everything. Find an author that you like and read everything that they have written. You will see how their' writing has evolved. Then imitate the writing style that you like and add some of yourself into it to begin cultivating your' own writing style.
I have written many stories and I have been published but I still don't "feel" like a writer. I think that I have to reach certain goals that I have set for myself in order to "feel" like a writer. But then again, what does a writer "feel" like?:)
You could start by writing what you see in your' mind just for yourself. Don't worry about the grammar and punctuation at first. Just get it out of your' head. Then you can fine tune it. I will rewrite a story eight to ten times before it is just right.
Keep your' chin up and practice. Once you feel more confident, start submitting your' work to magazines. There are many, many online. But MOST IMPORTANTLY...DO NOT let critiscm get you down! Not everyone will like what you write. So don't do it for aprroval. Do it for you. Your' audience will find you.
You have to be thick skinned to write. We all get rejection letters and some of them are mean! Just try again. You can do this! I'll be looking forward to seeing your' name in print!
