Perfect candidate for the Darwin Awards?  

There was a young guy in our town that got pulled over for speeding. He immediately jumped out of the vehicle and pointed a gun. They pleaded with him to get rid of it and put it down. They finally ended up shooting him out of safety for our police officers. When they got up there to him he had a fake gun and note that said thank you for killing me. I could not do it myself. Now how do you think that officer felt. I imagine it was very difficult for him. But how did he know that it was not a real gun I mean the guy could have killed him first.

There is such a thing as "suicide by police" where the person sets the police up to kill them. But he'd have to have been smart enough to think of that and that would disqualify him for the award!

I am not sure how to respond to this discussion. I do think the man had some major problems, not sure if they were mental, drugs or alcohol but problems for sure. With minor traffic violations I do feel that the law should not have "played" the mans games with him. He was not doing anything to harm anyone, or at least it don't sound that way in the article. Am I missing something there when reading it?

I don't think it qualifies because we don't know if the guy had severe mental issues to do this sort of thing.

Can't really say without knowing if the man had any mental or depression type problems. Now, if it were drugs I would have to say yeah, because you aren't using any sense when you are on drugs anyway.
