Vent as much as you like my friend, it is totally disgraceful how you were treated, I don't know how the system works where you are but int uk we make appointment and get seen to when we go at that time, but many years ago I went to the dentist to get my tooth out and everything was fine untill the pain wore off, I realised the denteist took the wrong tooth out I didn't know wheather to laugh or cry.

Sorry you had such a lousy experience this morning at the dentist office. So they did nothing to your mouth today?

I had a crappy experience today at the ob-gyn's office. I got there and waited 2 hours to see the dr. I was almost ready to tell them I had to leave and not to bill my ins. company that I would return another day. What should have been a 1 hour trip and wait was 3 hours. They took my bp and it was up. Well no duh, it was very cold in the waiting room and I was bored. I only went just because the dr. refused to refill a prescription I have been on for years. Not a major deal and I could quit taking them and probably wouldn't notice any change.

Maybe your dentist and my doctor are related...lol Very annoying.

Well that stinks! I need to get my wisdom teeth out, but mine are going to have to be cut out. Consider yourself luck that your can be pulled. I went to the dentist about 6 months ago and they told me what all needed to be done to my mouth and they asked me what I wanted done first. I of course did not have the money to get it all done, so I have not had it done yet. Sorry you are having such a rough time with the dentist. Maybe you should find a new one.

I am satisfied that, at least, I can tell you what happened in Miami area with my wife in October, 2003, we had to go to our Insured Doctor, for my wife as She had intermeiient fever. We had taken appointment fot 1200 hrs, our name was nevr called upto 1400 hrs. I got chased off and finally, it was 1430 hrs. Dr. prescribed som eBlood/urine samples alongwith medicines for a week and to return back to him after one week with blood samples. After one week, also and even now, after almost more than 4 and half yrs, those reports are not available. These Dr. waste their time, as well as mine. It is better not to get sick by maintaining healthy life style. have a nice time.

I went to the dentist last week. The dentist is my big fear. A few weeks ago I had a tooth that was fired up, it hurt so bad that I made an appoinment. After I made the appointment, the tooth quit hurting, I still kept the appoinment. They did an xray and want to pull a bunch of teeth out too. I didn't feel comfortable with the dentist. I don't have any kind of dental insurance and this was at a clinic. I need to call around and look for another one. I did get a script for some antibiotics and here is the good part. They were free at Meijers, woohoo. Good luck with your next visit.

I have to say right now that I'm sorry about this, I have love for the dentists, in my book they rank up their with ducktors, they have initials behind their name?

Seems they like to make you wait, and wait, and wait, and at that point I would have walked out and told the jerk the bill would have been in the mail

I was in the dentist one time getting a tooth pulled and she was hurting me, it was closing time or close to it and she got down right rude and said I'll leave it in, I told her if she did that I wouldn't pay her,

I walked out of theri vowing to never go back again.

My dentist always sees me promptly, lets me make payments, and I still do not go see him often, cause I am not happy making payments. He does not pull teeth, but sends you out of town to an oral surgeon.

I'm sorry, my dear, for what you were subjected to at the Dentist. I'm not sure why you have to be kept waiting like this when your name had already been called. I would have expected that the dentist would have been waiting for you. I visit a private dentist, and we usually have to wait for our turn. When our name is called, and we go into the dentist's office, he will be right there expecting to serve us without any further waiting. Only when the treatment is over will we be asked to make a payment. So I really don't know about the system you have in your town, and why you have to be subjected to all these procedures and delays. I really hope things will be better for you next time you need to see the dentist.

I never got to wait!!!

It seemed like she was all set and waiting for me only..!!!
Like she is really enjoying the shouts and all those drilling stuff down your jaws.. downtown... ughh!!! Scaaaary!! :P:P
I was in middle school that time.
But I went through myself.. I went there all alone and all by myself ..well its was just couple of blocks away from my house but I was brave I must say I was brave ..!! by going their all by my self!!

That is very sad RLFinNAsh...I have not experienced that..When I'll get my appointment in my Dentist, it's always on time and when I arrived before the schedule and he has no patient it, he will always ask me to do it before our schedule! But, I understand how you feel..I will be feeling the same way if i am in your situation and maybe if possible get my money back and look for another Dentist..If they are busy, they have to let us know!
