do you know a person that cannot drink milk?

My best friend is actually lactose intolerant and cant drink milk. She can handle a small amount if its mixed with something.

I actually know a few people who can't have dairy. One is a Native American and lacks the enzyme to properly digest milk, the other has Celiac disease and milk causes a lot of problems. People who are non-Caucasian tend to be the most lactose intolerant. But, there's usually a good number of people of all races that can be either way. My stomach gets a little irritated when I take too much dairy, but it's not bad enough that I want to stop taking it.

I think the term is lactose intolerance, meaning some individuals' body cannot tolerate the lactose that is found in dairy. They can drink soy milk instead if that is the case.

I've heard of people who have this condition, but to be honest, I don't know one personally.
