Most dangerous places and cities

Other than my old neighborhood here in the good old U.S.A. Honduras in one of the most dangerous places I have ever visited. On one evening there were five of us in a car traveling to a near by town when we were stopped by the police check point. They wanted money or they were going to take our car from us. I was the only one that did not speak Spanish we were told to get out of the car because we didn't have enough money. One of my friends said that we should not get out of the car, but stand our ground. Sounds good right! They were pointing machine guns in our faces and getting angry by the second for more money. (This was a time if you knew anything about prayer, then you should have been praying as never before.) The driver left the car with the police and they talked for several minutes. When he returned to the car we were free to go without anymore problems.

i thinks the most dangerous cities in this world is irag because there so many terrorist there kill people for no reason and there so many bomb the blow in irag? i have dangerous place like that i never be visit this kind of place if visit this place maybe i die in irag? if i visit this place and not irag only irag and iran and home of bimladen

At the moment I'd say any that George Bush has on his hitlist.

There are alot of cities that have dangerous places in them (most capital cities have), but some cities are getting more and more violent each day. Right now I would point out São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro (both on Brasil), where getting a lost bullet is an everyday event... But there are more...

Also, as statted above... any citie that some "lunatic" president (Bush or any other) decides to add to his hit list is an hazard to be in.

I think that a war zone like Iraq would be the most dangerous place to go. Anywhere that is bombed would not be a safe destination to go to. Sometimes police officers might be corrupt and so this would be really bad. The most dangerous cities that I have been to are ones in Israel like Jerusalem, in the northern part of Guatemala, Nairobi and Mombasa in Kenya and Los Angeles in the USA. I have heard that New York can be dangerous so can Rio in Brazil. There might be high crime in a city but a traveler might avoid any danger there at all. Surprisingly I had most danger on a deserted beach in the Maldives and not any in the dangerous cities that I have been to. Danger is a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
