 I am returning to college after a 13 year hiatus. Yesterday was my first day back in class and it felt great. Higher learning, and educating yourself is so rewarding. I am on a path that I feel will not only positively effect me financially, but emotionally as well. My self esteem and self pride have gone through the roof since yesterday. I am so glad that I made the choice to continue my education. It is NEVER too late to finish!

I've also motivated so many family members and friends who have been considering returning back to school. Now, they're wanting to go back as well. I made myself a promise when I left that I would definitely return if I was able to. Didn't realize that it was going to take me over a decade to go back..but its better late than never. I am sooo focused now. | |

Non-traditional students do expectionally well because they are more focused than when they intially began their studies. I agree, it is never too late because the time will past anyways.

| esined6200 (284) | 2 months ago | Yes, I do feel much more motivated to go back to school. I feel more driven now then I was when I first entered college. I guess LIVING will do that for you. Now that I have children its very important to me to improve my quality of life. More so for them, rather than myself. I also want to be an example to them. I can't preach GET AN EDUCATION and then they see that I did not go the extra mile to ensure that my education was completed. My degree will be in Health Information Management, and I have always been interested in this particular field. Have some really great instructors and the class that I am currently taking is very interesting. | |

I could have gotten my A.S. in Health Information Management online, then transfer to a 4 year school for the bachelors. I decided to go to nursing school so I can be more hands-on with people. Anything in healthcare is a worthwhile choice, good luck! | |

I had alot of personal/family issues to deal with, not to mention the financial woes I had. All of that is behind me now, and my focus is more deadly...LOL, so i'm giving it my all this time around and I should be finished in about a year or so! | |

Of course I am on-line making a few dollars here and there, but work will definitely be taking a back seat to my education this time around. I have been looking, would love to get a part-time job in a doctor's office or something to kind of get a field for my profession. | |
