How to deal with a horrible mother  | |  Last year, I slipped & fell on some black ice. I got a concussion and a sprained neck. I asked my mother to take me to the neurologist. As we were walking up to the Dr.'s door, she blurts out to me "I think your father molested you when you were little" I couldn't even walk a straight line at the time and they gave me a sedative for the MRI...During the MRI, I whipped my head out of the headpiece and they had to do it over again...and that was under sedation. I don't know what made her say that & I really don't know what made her pick such a weird time to blurt it out. I don't believe her & my dad has been dead for 18 years, but what would make her think that it would have no effect on me? This happened a year ago and I'm still trying to figure the whole thing out. I have never talked to her about it, you just can't talk to her like normal people talk. Any suggestions? It's on my shoulders now!

If they are only good memories save what you have. Let your mom deal with what she is going through. You don't need to carry her load.
