What will my most favorite birthday gift be? Its my birthday!

I don't know about you, but I'd have the cleaning service in! (not that they could find room to clean, but you understand.)

Happy Birthday!!! I'm sorry this is a day late, but I didn't see it yesterday... I never got it in my email. If it were me, I'd choose something that I'd remember forever. The lunch and dinner with your daughter sounds really nice and so does the necklace... but I'd try to find one where you can "add" as many birthstones to it as you want and put both yours and Kate's on it.
I think my absolutely favorite birthday gift was from my son when he was about 3 or 4 years old. He went out into our back yard, picked every single flower that I had growing and brought them all to me, his little arms surrounding the flowers, and said, "For you, mommy." The flowers are long-gone, but that memory will stay with me forever!Here's my gift to you:

My darling Katesmama, I apologize profusely for not getting to this discussion in time! As you probably have noticed, I've been a bit MIA recently because of all of the things going on in my life and in the lives of my friends. I haven't had the heart to be here, to tell the truth. But I'm here now, and I hope you know that my wishes for your birthday are vast and great. You deserve everything good and happy and sweet, dear KM. But in answer to your question about what you should get for your birthday? I'd say get the cleaning people! That's what I need, honey, and I'm not even kidding a little bit. This place is a total wreck! Filthy, messy, piles of clothes and shoes everywhere bits of flotsam and jetsam all over the place, yuck, yuck, and triple yuck. It needs a thorough shoveling out! And the thing is, I'm not up to doing it, dammit. But I'm going to try to start somewhere, and do bits every day till I get to the point where I can see all of the floor - that would be good, being able to see the whole floor. Ooops, sorry, I've gone and turned this comment towards myself. But I seem to be a bit self-absorbed these days, and I hate it - it's just that there's so much heartache right now and I'm so deeply sad about what's happening with my friend Robin, as I believe you well know. Today is another radiation treatment for her, and at least I'm able to go with her for this one. And after these are all done, and it's one a day, five days a week, for 2 weeks, she has to go in for this awful sounding 8 hour chemotherapy session. Yikes, 8 whole hours with that drip going into her! I so dread the ordeal for her. Shite, I'm so sorry, I shouldn't be talking about this here, Katesmama, honestly, I can't seem to help myself. But please accept my apologies for that, darling, please forgive me. It's like a part of me, this thing. I can't shake it for a moment. But she's so positive, so determined to fight this thing with everything she's got, and she says that she's not throwing in any fuc_king towel either, that even if the doctors tell her that she's got no hope of winning, she's not throwing in that towel. I suppose that's the right attitude, the only attitude really, to have, and I'd give anything to have that positive outlook on this, but I just don't have it. I have absolutely no optimism about it at all. That's probably due to my history, and it makes sense that I'd feel that way, but I'd sure like to ditch it and feel some inkling, some iota of positivity.
At any rate, I'm wishing you the happiest of birthdays, and the happiest of every day of your life. You're a most incredibly loving and generous woman and I find myself caring about you very deeply. Please know that you are in my heart, whether I'm around the Lot or not. So many of you here are in my heart. I think about all of you so muc of the time, it's kind of funny, and I'll bring you up in conversations I have with my 'real life' friends, the 3D ones, the ones I can actually touch, and they all know who I'm talking about - they should - I talk about you all the time and tell them about our discussions here, and about how much fun we all have together. So trust me, you're always with me, whether I'm here or not. Just know that, please.

Happy Birthday! I like everything on your list*laughs*. I don't remember a favorite birthday gift but I like everything which my friend gave me over the years. Well, I think for my next birthday, I would want peace and relaxation. Just one good day I could be with myself, sit down read something and drink some cocktail without having to rush here and there.

The best present I ever did was when Niamh slept right through the night for the first time at 3 weeks old on my birthday - that was fantastic and when we talk about it now she is very proud of herself for doing that! lol xxx

Happy, happy birthday to you...It all sounds very wonderful....I never really do anything special for my b-day..but if I had to choose from your list....I would spend the time with Kate...take alot of pictures and worry about the house another time....
