Nature's perfect chair  

I have seen tree trunks that broke off at a strange angle or other natural items shaped in weird or interesting ways. But, I'm not sure I've ever seen a "Perfect chair," like you mentioned in your discussion. I agree that when hiking, it's cool to happen upon odd or strange-looking items of nature to make it a little more interesting for everyone.

That is so awesome. In the state park I used to work in some of the trees that had fallen during storms left "chairs" for people to relax on. Mother Nature definitely has her ways doesn't she?

well yeah, i guess that you could absolutely say that that is nature's chair indeed. i have never seen anything like that before. lol and i do wonder how that that happened to that wood like that. wonder if nature did do that to the wood, or if somebody actually done that to that wood and left it there? who knows? thanks so much for sharing that wonderful photograph with all of us here at Mylot! and i do not think that i am familiar with the story of the giving tree. and yes, it does look like it would be a perfect spot for somebody to sit and rest on it as well.

I love that book, The Giving Tree. It was hard for me to realize it was also a Shel Silverstein book. I have seen downed trees and logs make excellent chairs and places to rest the weary feet.

That is neat how nature makes its own things and gives back to us in so many ways. The ower of mother earth is very surreal. The winds, storms, rains and snow give alot to us if we step back and take a look at what it has done over the years.

I have been in different forest in my Country and they are really amazing, even just the root of it, gives comfort to the people who wants to enjoy the shade!
I remember one time, we were resting in a tree which was 100 years old and we can even lie down in all of its roots! Amazing!

We have a perfect tree in our yard- We live in the country and have a lot of trees in the yard and in the woods. Down by the horseshoe pit there is a tree that has a great seat. It's so odd-- but I love it- I can sit my drink there and sit there as well. My daughter loves it! It's so comfy and in the perfect spot. It's not made from a chainsaw or by man- it's the way the tree was shaped.
So yes I've seen this- and I love it!
