TV addicting  | |  As you should know, there are lots and lots of people that are addicted to TV. I think it would be nice for people to expose their oppinions about this questions here.
(For the lazy ones, remember that, the bigger your post, the more money you get^^)
1 - Why do you think that this happens? Is it because people just like to watch it, or because the television acts like a "drug"?
2 - Are you addicted to TV? If yes, why?
3 - Do you know someone who is addicted to TV? Tell us a bit about this person, if there is.
4 - Do you think it's really so bad to be addicted to TV?
5 - How do you think that it's possible to get rid of this addiction?

We can't afford to go out. I like the background noise. We are not 'outdoor' people. We've already read all of our books. It's cheap easy entertainment.

| | 2.  hellcowboy (2170) | 1 month ago |  I think people get addicted to television because people are amused by moving pictures and it is a good source of entertainment,even though I think that there might be something in the television that sends waves to the brain,that says you have to watch it,I used to be addicted to the television,but now I am not because me and my fiance have to much other important things to do,to worry about staring at the television all the time,my brother is sort of addicted to the television as when he is not working or sleeping,he is usually watching television and playing a video game,and while he watches television he always zones out,and it is hard to get his attention until a commercial,I do not think it is bad to be addicted to television,as long as you do not let it rule your life,and I think the only way to get rid of the addiction is to find other ways to pass the time,or find ways to stay busy so you that you do not think about watching television.

| | | 3. adamturner2007 (77) | 1 month ago |  I don't know of anyone that is actually 'addicted' to television but I know of a few people who watch it for a few hours a day.
The reason I say that they are not addicted is that they can go for days without watching it, and presumably if they were addicted then this would not be possible.
I like to watch a few odd programmes, i.e; Top Gear, Bottom, League of Gentlemen etc, but other than this I don't really watch television daily.
I suppose I use the internet and my Playstation 3 more, to me it's a bit more exciting than just watching a programme.=]
