Anyone here who uses mineral makeup?

I have seen a lot about mineral makeup and I have seiously been thinking about trying it, it is good to get samples of things to try as it is an expensive exercise to pay the high prices they charge these days to try them and when they don't suit your skin you have just wasted a lot of money....I will have to give it a go though I think I have heard a lot of good things about it.

After someone gave me some samples, I figured I'd try it on a day I wasn't planning to go anywhere, in case it was awful. It wasn't a case of just washing it off and going back to the od way, because I wanted to see if it would last. By the time I removed it to go to bed, it was still almost perfect. My skin's very oily, so very few products stay on and don't even change color, but this stuff does! I love it! Now I'm experimenting with defferent brands. I've found, so far, that you really do get what you pay for, and the cheaper ones aren't anywhere near as good as the ones that cost a bit more. The one that was about $60, though, wasn't any better than the $25 one. The drugstore ones for $6 or 7 weren' good at all.

As for the sweating, bloting papers or just Kleenex takes care of that in a hurry! I worried about coverage, because I have a birthmark I hate under my eye. Of course, a little concealer is always a good idea, but the mineral makeup seems to help it set, so it just disappears.

The only drawback is that the powder gets all over everything if you're using a good brush (an absolute must!) If I'm wearing something that slips on over the head, I have to put it on before the makeup and hair get done, so a tie a towel around my throat, like a bib, so the powder isn't all over the clothes.

Just realized - one of these companies should pay me from their advertising budget.

I use mineral make-up and have for a couple of years now. I so much prefer it over the other stuff. I don't have to use a lot and so it lasts a long time. I have not heard about sleeping with it on. I don't like to sleep with make-up on anyway lol. But yeah it doesn't irritate my skin especially in the hot whether.

I use Physician's formula mineral make-up and I really like it. I am prone to rosacea and this doesn't seem to irritate it. I don't know about sleeping with it as it does rub off very easily. I think it also comes off pretty easily if you wipe your face when you sweat. I don't wear it all that much, just to work and it makes my skin look pretty good.

I do. I use bare escentuals and I think it's been good so far. I love that it's so light on skin and I don't feel like I have worn anything. They are natural, and they should not be irritating. So far, I haven't experienced any irritation.
