TV without Remote

Here in US we are probably the laziest people. When I was growing up there was no such thing as a TV remote but ever since the little sucker came out, nobody is getting ANY exercise.

I believe remote controls are part of our problem. We get too lazy to get up and change channels or adjust the sound. TVs aren't as friendly in those ways as they were years ago. The controls are very small and it's hard for someone who doesn't have good eyesight to even read what they say. I can't say I'm sorry we have a remote control myself,though. I do need to get more exercise, but not using a remote control wouldn't help that much. I think we all probably just need to cut the television off and go out and walk a mile or two.

Not only can I imagine it, but I actually lived it LOL. Yes, I remember a time when you actually had to get up & change the channel. I also remember my sisters & I arguing over who was going to be the one to get up and change it LOL. I swear we humans are a lazy bunch aren't we? Sad, but nevertheless very true LOL.

I have one tv that I can't find the remote to, I hate not having it. the tv is in my room and i hate having to get up out of bed to turn it off.

i use my tv and i never used my remote since it is broken. i always get up first from my bed and turn it off, yeah, like exercise everyday. but if i feel lazy, just let it on, and i go sleep, and until my father come to hit me and he will turn it off..

what a nightmare one can asked for?well i am designing a new remote to make tv remote n mobile working from one..so don ask me..

TV without remote is like having car without the wheels.
You can watch but you can't move it!

I can not only imagine, I have lived at a time that there wasn't a remote.

When I was growing up, the thing to do was all sit in the living room in front of the TV. When I was young, I was always the one elected to go change the channel. That memory is very vivid for me. lol

Now, yes I love my remote. I can sit in front of my computer typing away, have my TV going on the side and change channels all I want.

I t was a routine to have a tv without remote in 1990.In those days there used to be only one channel to view, run by govt. in my country.After 1991, the entire situation changed, and now, if you mis place your remote, ... first thing you would do is to find it .

Way, way back when we first had our TV we only had a very few channels to watch until we got cable. The TV only had 12 channels and you had to turn a knob to change channels. One day I was visiting an aunt and she changed the TV with a remote control and I remember thinking how lazy to not get up to change the channel. well when i got a TV with a remote I was using the remote instead of getting up to change the channel. Now who was the lazy one? So The answer To your question "Can I imagine a TV with out a remote control" is yes I can. But I don't want too.
