Of all horror movies, which one REALLY scared you?

This is the horror movie that scared me the most...

The movie that scared me the most? Hmmm...the first one that comes to mind is The Grudge - the Japanese version. brrrr...just to see the girl walk on the stairs. Really creepy

I've seen a number of horror movies that scared me or gave me the creeps, but the one that probably scared me the most is The Blair Witch Project. Filming it with a camcorder gave it a more personal feel. But the fact that during the "scary" moments you only heard noises rather than see monsters or ghosts, or in this case, the Blair Witch, really made my imagination kinda go into overdrive, and that's what scared me the most. I've not seen another movie yet that's been able to do that to such a degree.

I would have to say that "The Strangers" scared me as far as something I have seen recently. It wasn't scary in that gross, gory, bloody type of way, but it was scary in the suspenseful, what the heck is fixing to happen kind of way. I know I jumped out of my seat a few times. Most of the other scary movies don't really scare me, they just have all the "typical" blood and gore that makes for a "good" scary movie.

Texas Chainsaw massacre... Such a brutal film, very inhuman...
I really have a hard time sleeping after I watched this film, I was remember the killings and the sound of the chainsaw... I got butterflies in my stomach, I feel like vomiting if there are scenes which is so bloody and yuck...
I promised myself not to watch this film again... I really hate this film...

There are scary movies out there, then there is Audition. A Japanese horror movie that takes twisted and redefines the word. The movie starts out pretty normal, maybe a little quirky. A Vice President of a TV company whose wife died decides to try dating again at the urging of his friend. The guys friend is totally loving setting him up and proposes they tape auditions of women who want to date him. He reluctantly agrees and about one hundred women show up. But there is this one whom he falls for instantly. She mesmerizes him with her shy personality and good looks. He chooses her (or does she choose him). Next thing you know they go on a romantic getaway. Then head home. By this time he is hopelessly in love. Mind you that about 45 minutes of normal movie goes on then they have a little argument and she heads home in a tiff. Hours turn into days.

Then we see a closeup shot of a girl sitting by the phone in the dim light. Like she's been waiting for the entire time. Just sitting there. The shot just sits there for like a minute. Then they cut to him hesitating to call, picking up the phone/hanging up. Finally he dials the number and the shot goes back to her sitting there. JUST SITTING THERE! The phone rings, and rings and rings again. Slowly with her long black hair covering her eyes she smiles. A slow evil smile. Then...

Well the rest of the movie is sick, twisted, and crazy. Enjoy...

Horror movies don't normally scare me, I just watch them for entertainment. There is an exception - "The Eye" was really creepy (the original of course, not the re-make). It's the only film that has ever literally sent chills down my spine.

The movie that scared me the most was "It". I watched it when I was like five and couldn't sleep for 2 days. To this day I'm scared of clowns and spiders. It's amazing the kind of influence a movie like that will have on you. Since I've gotten older, the movies that tend to keep a chill going down my spine are the Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies. I love them, but the first time I watched them, I had my head halfway hid under a cover. But, I liked them enough to buy all of them.:) But, It even though it doesn't seem that scary now, it was definitely scary to my five year old mind (and up until I was almost 15). :S
