The POPE has left the ROOM. |
|
As I speak to you here now at 10.30 am Monday,21 July 2008, The POPE has just Lifted off in FLIGHT on Board a Qantas Jet out of SYDNEY, Australia. This ends a week Visit for the Youth Festival of the Catholic Church. Over the week the sun shined each day, Mass was celebrated yesterday (Sunday), This service was televised through out Australia. I must say that the music and singing was very uplifting for all, no matter if you were a Catholic or not. For any one to lift their voice in Song id wonderful no matter who it is, So, as I close this report, I say, The POPE has Left the ROOM. HICCUP/

1. danishcanadian (14557) | 3 months ago | I agree with you about singing. It's always ispirig o liste o people sing. As for the pope, I think it's all a bunch of hype other othing. He's just a person, ad why can't a woma ever be pope? I would neer celebrate a leader hat big. I don't beliee in authority. I'm glad it was your counry, not mind...although he was in Torono a few years ago or the same thing, I think...or was that the other Pope?

hiccup (4721) | 3 months ago | That may have been Pope PAUL. All this trip has done is a lot of good and yes i do understand, those who appose the House of ROME. Im not a great Lover of the Catholic Church However I do find that there are many good things within it. Namely many of the People of the Church. But I am a Christian, None of us are perfect, and you know what they did to the who was. HICCUP/

hiccup (4721) | 3 months ago | I am not Catholic, but I think all the World loved Pope John Paul. I always enjoyed what he had to say, but then one only had to look at his upbringing. Yes, Pope John Paul was the peoples Pope. HICCUP/

3. guybrush (1662) | 3 months ago | I'm not a Catholic either hiccup, and didn't have any interest in World Youth Day - but on our travels last week I met a group of lovely young Mexicans from California who were in Kiama for the day during their pilgrimage. They were delightful, friendly and were enjoying our country enormously. It was really nice to have young people actually approach me with a smile and ask questions. Where I live, I'm afraid young people treat me as invisible and tend to shove past me with their heads down.

hiccup (4721) | 3 months ago | Im pleased that you had contact, And it seems you were a part of the big picture of the Youth day/week in Australia, And is that not what its all about aside religion. Meeting others, being friends in that meeting, exchange of ideas, and a better understanding. I think you played your part well, I am sure they will have some nice stories to tell when they go home and how they met you and chatted. HICCUP/

hiccup (4721) | 3 months ago | As much as we need the rain, the sun shined all week and all enjoyed that. So there was much warmth about and people felt good. Good for everyone, It was for Australia. And I also hope it was to all those who made the visit. HICCUP/

5. dragon54u (3398) | 3 months ago | He seems like a very loving man and I hope he can start a spiritual revival. I began to respect him a lot after reading about his youth and young adulthood and I think he has a real chance to make a difference in the church and in the world.

7. katiedoubleu (2837) | 3 months ago | I saw a little bit of the broadcasts, too. It seems to have been a successful youth gathering. Good to hear that he had sunny weather for the festivities. I agree that the music in those gatherings can be very inspiring for anyone no matter their faith or lack thereof.
