Did you manage to see the Pope or just on the tv, it must have been quite a sight and of the church service too? I hope you enjoyed the singing as well, its a shame it was not our t.v.

hi hiccup thouogh I am not catholic I do love good singing
no matter which religious group and I am sure that in their
own way that they did a lot of good for the young Catholic
people. I do respect all religions though I am a christian and
not a Catholic myself. Good singing from anyone is inspiring
and is good singing.

Yup! It was a non-event. He diddled, fiddled, titillated, and claimed to feel sorry for the victims of Religious Sexual Abuse, but he stopped short of an apology from the Church. He will not put Safeguards in Place to stop the Catholic Hierarchy from violating children in the future. There was Singing and Much to do about very Little. Everybody in attendance got what they came for. God Help Them!

Now, I'm not a religious person, so my response may not be favourable to some. I think having the Pope here was good for the youth of today, but why should anyone man be considered to be closer to god? Aren't we all supposed to be equals in the eyes of god?Like I said, I'm not religious, but that doesn't mean I am ignorant about it. I actually look forward to studying the bible one day to see just how many inconsistancies there are and the contradictions it gives. Believe me, from what I have read, I have found many of both.
The other thing about having the Pope here is that it was us tax payers who payed to have him here!!!! Hello, he is the head of the richest entity in the world, and we footed the bill for his accommodations and expenses!!!!
