Barry Manilow

I know he had some surgery done last year. I think he has some kind of bone disease or something. I'm not sure but if I remember correctly he was in a lot of pain and couldn't dance when he performed. I think the pain was in his hips. He had surgery that "fixed" that, but if it is a disease I guess it could come back and perhaps it has taken over.

Too bad. With Manilow you either love him or you hate him. I don't know why people hate him. I'm a gal of the 70's so I love his music.

hi muscles for me I am also a fan of Barrys and didnt know he was ill, my goodnessthats awful. and weighing only 105 must be some sortof cancer from the sounds of the weight thing. thats verysad, I really have always enjoyed hismusic so much.

I just Googled him, and found a short article saying that his reps deny that he is ill. It said he is "trim" right now, but no where near 105 pounds. There was no reason given for why he is so small right now. Hopefully this is the truth. I have loved Barry Manilow since I was a pre-teen. I would be very sad if he were really sick.

I haven't heard anything about Barry Manilow being sick. I would think the local news would have something to say about it. I wouldn't trust a tabloid. I think they write about anything negative just to make sales. I saw him once at Riverport and it was a fair concert. He's very talented but just not my idea of a hot performer. He may have a website you can check.

No I had not heard anything about this. I did think he looked kinda skinny when I last saw him on tv. But he ha always been so little. Still something did seem a little off but I don't know anything about him dying.
Have you been to his personal site?
Maybe there is news.
It's hard to say whether it is true. He may just need to gain some weight and they are going overboard.

I've been a member of the Barry Manilow International Fan Club for years and have not heard any of this. I do know that one the reasons he is not touring much any more is that it is physically demanding and that he did have some minor heart problems which are now under control. He has a good deal with the Hilton in Las Vegas where is performing now.
