Did you know that?
Well, for those who follow my discussions, you'll know I posted one last week about saggy skin from pregnancy. I've been trying for years to find natural ways to firm the skin, that doesn't require surgery.
Last night I came across some interesting information, that really seems like a no brainer. You may try all the creams and lotions you'd like, but skin must be nourished from the inside-out. If you are not eating the proper foods, your skin will not regenerate correctly. It needs vitamins delivered to it from your blood stream.
So I began looking for foods to eat that will give my skin plenty of the vitamins it needs. That is when I came across a site that said brazil nuts are good for your skin. It contains a lot of vitamin E, and helps your skin's elasticity. So I am going to pick up some brazil nuts at eat 1 helping a day.
FYI- other foods that are rich in vitamin E are vegetable oils, sunflower seeds, safflower, wheat germ, and some leafy vegetables such as spinach (although it doesn't have a lot).
Carrots are also good for the skin and your complexion, especially if you have acne.

I have heard hazelnuts are good as well. If you like those better, you may want to research it to make sure I'm right.

That is good to know. I should have added that, but I was unsure and didn't want to give false information.

I did not know that no, but it is worth considering and maybe even worth trying because it is surprising what things would help our skin.
Something that I have been doing for the last week is trying to drink more water, I am not a big water drinker. But I noticed my skin was looking sunken and horrible so I started drinking one cup of water at night before going to bed and I have noticed a big difference in my skin already.
The small lines on my face are not as noticeable for a start and my skin looks more fuller. But I like brazil nuts so I may try them out!

I have been trying to drink more water as well. I'm drinking a glass or two here and there, I've cut way down on the soda, and am drinking a calorie free flavored water now.

I dont konow if I would like Brazil nuts but does almonds count?Probably not.Maybe I can cover them with chocolate and eat them that way.I would love to firm my skin as it is saggy kind of in the stomach area after having 2 kids.I have heardif you rub coffee grinds on your rear and legs that it will firm them up for awhile as cofee has caffeine in it and thats what does it supposably.I have never tried it though. Thanks for sharing this.I might have to go out and get me some Brazil nuts to try.

Sounds good! I'm all for homemade beauty treatments
and affordable beauty products.
So why not beauty products from nature!
Friends of mine have spent small fortunes
on store bought products to do the same thing.
I'll give brazil nuts a try!
Thanks.

I'm right there with your friends spending a small fortune on creams and lotions etc. But as I said, you must nourish your skin from the inside as well.
