I loved Karen Carpenter. She had a beautiful voice. Her voice was so sweet, mellow and smooth. It was a shame she lacked confidence in herself, when she had so much going for her with her talent. I don't understand how she could think she was fat when she was so skinny and starve herself to death? I heard Karen was kind of chubby when she was a child (chubby kids are cute), but Karen if someone made a comment about being chubby, Karen was insecure about her looks as a child and the insecurities carried on in her mind as an adult. She was a skinny grown woman, but she could not see how thin she was and she kept dieting and losing too much weight until she starve to death. I wish she was still living because she died too young and she would have much more beautiful singing to do.
