I have this problem. I can hardly remember my boyfriend's phone number. He used to have a personal number with him but now most of the time he is using his company cell phone's number. I cannot memorize that number. Just recently after one year plus, I have started to memorize this number. I also cannot memorize my friends' phone numbers. All their numbers I saved in my cellphone. I can imagine how doomed can I be if one day I have lost my phone, lol. How about you? Can you memorize all your friends' and family's phone numbers? I think this is tough and hard task for me. Please share with me,thanks.

Me too. I always have problems in remembering cellphone
numbers of my friends. I just have this problems with
numbers. The best thing is to have list of phone numbers
written in a piece of paper and put it somewhere
safe. Cellphone is not really a safe place to store
numbers. If that is stolen or lost, everything is lost.

You can buy little gadgets that will take a backup for the information on your Sim Card and store it-it can be carried around like a keyring,or stored someplace safe, and can be used to repopulate the info on a new Sim if you should happen to lose your phone! There's a similar add-on for a Computer available..you can read your text messages on the computer screen, and edit your numbers, addresses, and other phone based info..

I used to be the same way. I could never remember any phone numbers. I now use my husbands way. You might think Im dingy remembering them this way but it works. if almost all the first three numbers are the same like from the same town or the same phone company it will be easier. say the number is 4569 look at your phone and look at the numbers then run your index finger over 4569 but not pressing them in. close your eyes picture your friend and memorize the way your index finger goes. keep doing it for at least ten times. I believe it is called visual memory?
The other way is saying you are younger than your friend so say your age is 45 and her age is 69. I always do it this way until you get to your phone and are able to get to your cell phone or a piece of paper to right it down.

I'm the same way. I don't have any numbers memorized other than my house, my cell, and my husbands cell. My husbands uses a company phone which I don't know the number i just look for it on my caller id and hit call, same thing with my moms phone number and other peoples phone numbers. Some people are great with memorizing phone number (my husband has all his family's numbers memorized including friends of his, some of his work buddies) I don't know how he can keep it all organized, but i guess some people can just do that. I really need to write them down somewhere because if i lose my cell phone i will lose everyone's numbers.

I guess because you grew up in the age of cell phones where
you program numbers and scroll down to the person's name and
don't need to know their number. My boyfriend is like that.
If someone's phone number get's deleted from his phone he
totally freaks because he doesn't usually write them down.
I on the other hand grew up dialing a telephone (with a
rotary dial no less) so I am used to memorizing phone numbers.
I have no problem remembering phone numbers even though they
are programmed into my cell. I actually dial them on my
home phone/land line. It's just because it's something I'm
used to doing all my life.
