Are they building something on the dark side of the moon?  

Really...that is very interesting.
If that would really happen. The only
people who can inhibit it are those who
are extremely wealthy. The lesser mortals
will be left here to perished. Or unless
they will have big space shuttle to transport
all the people here on earth to the moon. But
i think there can be a truth on it.

Wow I wonder why they chose the dark side of the moon. That must be pretty well cold and dark out there for sure. Well it would be pretty interesting to go there but living there I would not prefer it to be as I like to see the sun everyday. I think I would not want living in an enclosed community that is facing the dark side of space and seeing stars all through out the year. I think that side is ideal for space exploration like a seeing desk because sun's rays would not obstruct telescopes from watching deep space.

Hello,aslan! It might be just a gossip.life in the moon will be simply troublesome as there is no water or oxygen.besides because of lack of gravitational force walking in the moon is not possible.how people will live there?so thereis no question of a settlement in the moon.thanx.

I understand the moon to be rotating - same as many planets and moons do (Please someone correct me if I'm wrong).

Therefore, if we assume that human life could be sustained in a longish-term, ongoing working environment on our moon, then, surely, any construction activity would have been visually noticed by both professional and amateur telescope users because the construction site would rotate to the illuminated side of the moon at regular intervals.

Unless of course, the construction was underground ... but even then, activity on the surface would still be detected.

Imagine the shock of looking through a powerfull telescope and seeing a JCB digging away!!!!

So no, I don't think anything is happening there, but good luck to em if it is.

This sounds like the plot of the famous 70s hoax documentary "Alternative 3", which was turned into a book a few years later. There's no truth to it, it started out as an April Fool gag. In any case, if you think about the logistics of building a moon colony, there's no way you could do it in secret.
