Announcing every little thing  |

 This is not directed at anyone in particular, because I've seen it done by acquaintences and strangers alike. What I'm talking about is the way some people feel the need to create a discussion over every little thing that they do at mylot. It's getting redundant, and just seems to be a lot of whining "pity me" posts.
For instance:
you plan to post less, so you make a discussion saying so
you plan to post more, so you make a discussion saying so
you are going to report someone, so you make a discussion saying so
your star has gone up, so you make a discussion saying so
your star has gone down, so you make a discussion saying so
you don't like somebody, so you make a discussion saying so
somebody doesn't like you, so you make a discussion saying so
you plan to prune your friend list, so you make a discussion saying so
The last one has been all over the place lately. Why create a discussion just to say you are deleting people from you friend list? Just delete them if that's what you want to do; if you feel you need to justify it (huh?) then send a PM before you delete them. Really, does anybody truly care who you have on your list or don't have? Is it REALLY that important to make it a public matter what you do with your stupid list?
Do you REALLY think everybody needs to know every little detail and motive for everything you do at mylot?
Am I the only one who is getting tired of seeing this crap?

2.  skinnychick (3213) | 3 months ago |  I think that for some it is a way of venting about a bad day on the lot. It doesn't make it right but that is what some people use mylot for. I'm getting tired of seeing it and many are but it will happen again if people can't get along. I stay away from most of those discussions so I don't get involved.

The only time I do discussions like that is when I am going to be awat for awhile (so my freinds dont worry) or if something just totally pisses me off

If I am not in the mood for discussions like that then I tend to just ignore them. I never do announcement discussions unless it is something that I really feel the need to do, which is not very often.

Imagine you have a goal of a certain number of posts per day. Some day those quotas get hard to meet. People get desparate for ideas and post almost anything. Soon, there will probably even be discussions about discussions!:-)

I know my discussion will be deleted if i discussed it with my anger as topic. Been there done that! the last time I did that, I lost 40 points in a day just defending my friends who were bullied. I will never get tired of starting discussions where I can insert what I feel until my friends get justice. Anyway, I have more serious discussions that often never get responses since most users prefer the lighter topics. So, two birds in one shot!

I hate the ones that are announcing their birthdays or wishing people a good weekend. I look for discussions that I can easily reply to with more than one line and probably have a good discussion with someone else with. I mean come on I don't need to know when people are pruning friend's list or whether or not they got their first payment. Who cares if you get paid.
