I have never ever given my password for any of my online account to any of my friends or family member, except my wife.

It happened with me few days back, one of my friend gave her gmail ID password to her friend. Next day when I messaged her on her gtalk, her friend replied to me with his name. I was surprised with that. I didn't reply anything but thought that he must be having access to all the conversations between me and my friend. I felt a bit bad about it, not sure if I really should feel bad or not.

How about you?? have you given your id, passwords to any of your friends or family members? Dont your other friends have any problem with that?

does your friends have your online accounts passwo

No I never give out my password to anyone. The only one person who does know my password is my husband & thats it. To me it's important to not give out your password to too many people especially those who you are not entirely sure if you can trust.

Yeah, you said it very true. Even I feel in the same way. As I explained in my response, it really hurts, when your personal communications are disclosed to any unknown person.

I do not share any of my Administrative Passwords with anyone in this world but for me for security reasons. The same is correct with my personal mail accounts. Obviously I need to maintain few limited access accounts for my friends, who volunteer in my projects on my behalf sometime.

I feel it must be very embarrassing to find someone else in place of me in GTalk or in my Messenger IDs. After all I feel how long does it take to create a free email account? If some of my friends/ family members need at all accessing emails, I would definitely help them opening a new account. But in any case, I'll not share my administrative accounts with them. And if they want to assist me in my projects, I grant them access to my limited access accounts gracefully.

yeah, you said it right. If you trust anyone, then that person should respect your trust, and use your account, only for the task he/she have agreed upon with you.

But I dont think its possible for them, because if you see any subject line that attracts you, you'll definitely try to have a peep.

i don't give my passwords to anyone but my husband. i don't trust anyone with my passwords. some people are too trusting. I play on pogo.com and people on there will give their passwords out to practical strangers so they can help get their badges done. i never give my password out. i would say something to your friend if you feel uncomfortable that he could be reading your conversations. or else just make sure you don't discuss something you don't want him to know about.

In this case, I wasnt sure that she have shared her email password with her other friends, and they have access to her emails. If I knew all this, I wouldnt have sent any emails on that ID.

As far as sharing of information is concerned, shez really a good friend of mine, and there are certain things in the world that you wish to discuss with your close friends.

I do agree with you. Yeah I have given my all passwords to my wife and I never ever hide anything with my wife including my passwords.:)

Ok. coming to the second point, yes it do annoy people when you ask for a person and you get some other person in response. You just stop yourself chatting with your friend itself. Thats really makes a bad impression on friends and other family members too but wife is always an exceptional in this case as she is half part of a family. So its ok to give everything to wife but not to anybody else. Not even to your brother or mother.

Thanks for sharing your view my friend.

ah! you are left out by one post for your century lol! best of luck.

Yeah you said it right, thats the reason I have given my password only to my wife, and no one else other then her.

And replying on messenger is different thing, but having password of messenger proves that, the stranger have an access to that accounts emails also. So didn't like that.

same with me dear friend. My wife knows all my accounts password, but never use it for any of my accounts, as I discuss everything with her daily. We have a good level of trust in between us, due to that I think she never wish to waste her time checking my accounts.
