8 o'clock is actually really affordable and tastes just as good as the expensive stuff, which is why I buy it.

Careful: once you go to fresh ground you can never go back...I can't drink Folgers; I've tried. It's just to0 bitter and acidic for me. And I drank it for years before my MIL gave us a coffee grinder. Then it was all over.

Living in the espresso capital of the world really spoils a person. LOL

God bless you for taking the trouble for your friend even though you aren't a coffee drinker...I can't get enough of it either...although I will be having stomach surgery in a few weeks and no more for me...:(

I'm sorry to hear about the upcoming surgery and hope that all goes well and that you have a speedy recovery.

Thank you sweetie...but I'm actually looking forward to the surgery. I've had alot of problems the last year and this will make all the difference in my quality of life.

Thanks for the links it seems that I shall need to get a burr grinder if I start to grind my coffee I really hate having a burned taste if you ask me and I like the coffee pot too. Now I have to go on a spending spree for coffee. He he he..

And let's go over this one more time: you put a filter in the filter basket, you put the coffee in the filter, you put the water in the top, make sure the pot is on the burner, then slide the filter basket in the the slot, then close the top and turn it on.

I'm still here. Right now, my problem is getting the proportions of the coffee & the water correct. Following the instructions on the coffee package, remember I messed up the two times I tried. One time, the coffee tasted more like plain water, & the other time, it sure was overpowering & kept us both wide awake all through that night. I agree wholeheartedly with what you said. We both suffered that bout of insomnia nice & comfy & snuggled up close with each other. We were just lucky that the next day, we didn't have to wake up early for anything.
