Oprah Winfrey or Ellen DeGeneres?  | |  Now this cannot be avoided. Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres can be both pass to that "Queen of American talkshow" title though most people regard Oprah as the one who fits it. However, let's review this again. The two are an exciting comparison because they are somehow the same and yet completely different. Their strong personalities and positive charisma have conquered the world and made them superstars. The two serve as a model for two different colors in America. Ellen who has recently revealed she is a lesbian is white and Oprah who grew up in poverty and drugs and then later rose to stardom is black. In the end, there should only be one American talkshow superstar. So who do you think is the greatest talkshow hostess of all time, Oprah Winfrey or Ellen DeGeneres?

My 'vote' is for Ellen DeGeneres as she has a genuine talent for making people laugh.
It's a pity her chat show is not broadcast here as her sit coms were.
BTW, Ellen revealed many years ago that she is a lesbian. Her sexuality makes no difference to me and it shouldn't to anyone else as it's no one's business but hers.
Both Ellen and Oprah are good actresses.

Although her show has been boring lately, she had covered almost all the topics that need to be discussed. Ellen is funny and witty but for me, Oprah still rules the talk show genre.
