Woman Sends Suicide Note To Mortgage Company |
|
I just saw a report on Headline news that a woman in Massachusetts faxed her mortgage company a suicide note telling them that when they came to foreclose on her house they would find her in the house dead. This is so sad that this lady committed suicide over a foreclosure. She also left a note for her husband and son to use the insurance money to pay off debts. It is so sad to know that this lady felt like it would be better if she committed suicide. I am praying for her family.

She didn't hurt the mortgage company because they couldn't care less as long as they get their pound of flesh. She has hurt her family badly and they have to live with that sorrow for the rest of their lives. I very much doubt the insurance company will pay out on a suicide.

scarlet2000 (859) | 3 months ago | I feel sorry for the family they have suffered a great loss. You are right the mortgage company could care less and they will go as if nothing has happened. It's really sad to know that she took her life thinking that her family could pay off debts with insurance money they will probably never get.

5. sk66rc (1398) | 3 months ago | That's pretty sad... And like some stated earlier, most (99.99%) insurance companies won't cover suicides... Apparently, that family had financial issues... Now that insurance won't pay for her death, she just added another burden on her family, her funeral costs, not to mention the emotional hardship the surviving family has to go through... Mortgage companies are covered under their own insurance just incase they won't get paid, plus if the foreclose the house, they can turn around & re-sell the house so the mortgage company has no loss at all what so ever... So her death was for nothing... That's pretty bad...

6. teapotmommommerced (4327) | 3 months ago | The problem is the family will not get any insurance because most insurances will not pay for suicide. How sad to think there was no option then death when losing your home. In Maslows hierarchy's of needs shelter is the most basic of need. If you do not have the most basic of needs then you can not have the rest of Maslows theory of happiness.
