A Pet/s

I have a cat

we got 8 dogs, 1 is shihtzu & the others are half breed lol

any kind if they know my house is,also if how many they are, i still dont know.

As you can see from my avatar, I'm kind of partial to dogs. I have five of them. Two australian shepherds, 2 miniature schnauzers and a black lab mix. I think dogs are great for a family. I also have 2 leopard geckos. They are so fun to have and great pets because they don't take alot of care which most of us like. lol We've had tropical fish in the past, but gave that up because of all the time it took to clean the tanks and change the water every week. Too much work for me!!

I have very unusual pets: I've a vermacomposting bin with earthworms. My landlord doesn't allow pets but the earthworms are very easy to hide as they make no noise and no mess. In fact they clean up mess and eat your vegetable garbage. Vegetable garbage include junk mail, coffee grinds, parts of veggies you don't eat like cabbage and lettuce cores.

If you have children I would say no more than one dog or cat. Esp. dogs, they take up so much time!

Currently I only have a dog. In regards to how many pets are good for a family, I would definitely say a dog is number one. Maybe a cat too if no one is allergic. Also I would say definitely a couple of fish. I tried having some beta fish but they kept getting sick so instead of wasting more money on buying new ones I just stopped. I might try and buy some different kind of fish in the future but right now my dog is enough.

Also when you have a family, especially kids, I think having fish is a great way to start out. It teaches children responsibility and patience. Once your child has mastered taking care of a few fish you can maybe move up to a hamster or gerbil, then maybe finally a dog or cat.

I think the best family pet is a dog or a cat, and i think many people will say the same thing . Hamsters make good kid pets, I have had many, many growing up . I have 2 girl dogs, and 7 cats, yep 7 . my one cat had kittens and i did not have the heart to give them up . My parents are staying with me now for personal reasons and they brought over all their pets, and I am going crazy, it is like a zoo here
