I am sorry you have such a rocky relationship with your mother as I have a fantastic one with mine, she is great. I am very lucky to say that I get on pretty much with all of my family though there are a couple of idiots who do so stupid things from time to time but I still get along with them. My best friend, however, has never had a good relationship with her mum and it has always been very terbulant. She loves her mother unconditionally but doesn't really like her. Now my friend is mature enough to know how to handle her mother and takes her how she is on the day. She doesn't see much but her mother always seems to upset her but tries not to let it show or bother her, I know she is hurting, though. She allows her mum to say what she likes and ignores her snide comments as if she hasn't said anything I think this is the only way to deal with her but I don't understand how a mother can be so horrible to her own daughter. I must say though that sometimes she is ok and can be quite a pleasant person but when she's having a bad day it's a problem!!

Yes christylynn I do. For the past couple of years, my relationship with my mother has not been the best and that is because of my brother. He came into my home and pulled out a gun in (front of two of my children)and threatened my boyfriend's life. My brother was already on parole and because of what he did, he had to go back to jai. Well after that mess happened, my mother made me feel as if I were the one who did something wrong (because I wrote a statement for the police). It is a little better now, but for a long time I wouldn't go to her house (she lives right next door to me) and I wouldn't call her but I never stopped the children from going over there because I feel they shouldn't be put into grown folkes nonsense.
