Stranger Wants A Hug

I would most likely give them a hug Their looks wouldn't have as much to do with things as my mood at that exact moment. If I were grumpy about something and muttering to myself, I might just ignore the request.

No I would move away, these days I don't think it would be wise to put yourself in such a situation, maybe I am a cold person for thinking this way but i just don't think many people would think it wise.

Very good question! I think I would first look at them & 'size' them up & then probably give them a hug. I don't believe the clothes they are wearing would have any bearing on me. I've hugged homeless people before cause I saw they really needed some human touch, & I restored their faith in mankind just by hugging them...Lori

Honest answer? I'd be afraid they'd stab me in the back in the middle of the hug. I've had enough friends do it to me (metaphorically speaking) that I really just don't trust people very easily anymore...and that's a shame, because I used to be a totally different person.

There appearance, race, aroma would have nothing to do with it.
Sure they could appear to be crying but are they really crying.
I think even though there have been times I desperately needed a hug,
I would be very cautious.
They could just be a mugger or anyone, I would not know by their appearance.
I think I would have to give them a miss.

I do this often.
I would hug any living soul or creature.

if it were a stranger in general i couldn't give a hug. i'd be too scared. but if i could tell they were distressed and we talked a little so i could get an idea what was going on and they needed i hug, i would probably give them one.

I would feel that anybody who was desperate enough to approach a stranger askin for a hug, needed one bad. Wrappin my arms around someone costs me nothin except a few seconds of time. I would not hesitate to hug someone askin for one. I don't think their looks would make much difference. A human is a human no matter their status. Yes I would give someone a hug if they ask for it, it wouldn't matter to me who they are because if they wanted a hug they are in need of one, an old lady asked mef for a hug at the bus stop one day and I did and now we firm friends and that was a long time ago.

I would not give a hug right away. I would invite the person to sit down to a cup of coffee and some talk. After we talked for a while I would probably give them a hug. Everyone needs a hug every now and then. No matter who you are.
