Shalt thou go with ye old "fuzzy slippers" or "barefooted"?  |

 How do you trek around when you are home relaxing, wearing slippers or barefooted? I used to wear brown corduroy slippers years ago just because I thought It was to preserve my white socks from turning black and keep me from stepping on nails and such. Then one cold winter day I discovered the wonderments of being barefoot and I can't go back. I personally like the feel of the different textures of flooring being barefoot. In the kitchen during the winter months the heat from the basement can be felt through the wooden kitchen floor and it's actually quite pleasant. The bathroom tiled floor is frozen cold and make a great cooling effect during the summer months. I'll even go out and walk on the grass and pavement barefooted just to feel the contrast in the textures. It is said that much of the things that can affect your body is connected to the bottom of your feet and I find that the noticeable changes in the places I walk do affect the mood I'm feeling, except when I walk barefoot on the blacktop paving in the middle of summer, then I just feel pain from the heat.

I like to be barefoot because I feel freer that way. I typically on wear shoes if I am going out of the house and not even then if i am going to be on the deck or the porch. I am barefoot at the moment as I am writing this. it feels great. My feet are happy.

| 3. danishcanadian (14678) | 3 months ago |  I don't have slippers. They don't have good enough reads on them, and I end up slipping. I guess tha's why they're called slippers. I just put my shoes on to walk around the house. I have regular flats, so it's no problem for me to just put them on.

In fact, I have taken to wearing water shoes most of the time because they are thin soled enough that I can feel the ground through them, but they protect my feet from sharp things/deaden the heat of the pavement in the middle of the summer. My mother told me that this will result in collapsed arches, but I don't really care because it is cheaper than slippers. Plus, if I step on something sharp inside the house, it is my fault for not keeping picked up.

do not want to hurt my feet. so I wear red beat up mocasin slippers and they are falling apart. I used to run around the house barefoot until I broke my toe banging it into
something so from then on I wear slippers insstead.

| 8. mandykaren (704) | 3 months ago |  i have not worn slippers for yearss lool i remember though a time when i had these fluffy type slippers and my cat would keep attacking me in them, and pouncing on them as i walked.. maybe thought they were some sort of small furry creature
i am terrible for always walking bare footed, even outside too.. or i slip on summer flip flops as easy.. id never buy slippers, isn't it old fashioned now? lol just dont like them, never always stayed on my feet properly
