Left Alone | | It happened when the clock struck nine With soft music and too much wine There was no love it wasn't right It only lasted through the night The results of the night Made me want to cry I was filled with guilt and shame The child was not the one to blame Two years later I watched them take my baby away I didn't have the strength; the baby was dying each day I couldn't be near her without thinking of my sins She was gone before the clock struck ten Left alone with nowhere to go No more dreams; not one hope Left alone to live a life Not being a mother nor a wife By: Meg
