Bitdefender Antivirus--What Made It As The Best Antivirus in 2008 Rankings?

AVG is the best free antivirus.It has a good definition update. System uses little resources and it has a full time protection utility with one access file scanner and e-mail scanner.

Friendly user that scans all existing files inclusing the Privacy Protection for outgoing personal information, Web scanning while you are using the internet, and Rootkit Detection and Removal, which detects and removes hidden virus programs..The effectiveness, updates, Help/Support and ease of installation and use make this as my overall winner..

I was also using Kaspersky from some months and i find it best antivirus till date. I have already used bitdefender but didnt find anything special which makes it more special or best in the category. Right now i am using free version of avg which is also looking good but not as kaspersky.

it may be the best paid anti-virus of 2008 certainly but when it comes to the best free anti-virus of all time it is AVG FREE and later on AVAST HOME these two are the two top notch in the world of anti-virus

I think Bit Defender is pretty good. Ended up deleting system files with AVG so switched to BD. Anything better than Norton, for god's sake..the thing slows down startup real bad.
