Incredible ability to forgive...  |

 My mom had an amazing ability to forgive! She was abused most of her life. She died at the tender young age of 56. During her eulogy, I spoke of a circumstance that boggled my mind.
You see... She had lost her baby boy at the hands of another individual. The story is too long to go into. But in a nutshell, this man got away with it and she almost lost her life too, at the time.
Years later after the incident... I came home one day to find her wrapping Christmas presents for this man and it left me a little miffed, to say the least. When asked why she would spend her hard earned money on a man who caused her to lose her son? Her answer was so astounding, that it has been forever etched on my mind. She said, "The price you pay for holding a grudge, far outweighs the pain you received from the person you held the grudge against." To her... It would cost her more to hold a grudge against this man, than all the pain she experienced losing her baby boy.
Kind of makes our petty issues that we hold against one another, seem insignificant. Doesn't it?
The good in all this... She and her little boy are now together forever! No one can ever take her little boy away from her again!
