Bohemian Rhapsody |

Okay So I'm 19 and I wasn't really able to enjoy all that music from the old days. I just discovered this song when I was watching Waynes's World. And I decided that I needed to have it so I got it and now I am addicted to it. There are times when I wished that I was born in an earlier time because of all that wondeful music. What do you guys think about that song?

ayumitakashi (2230) | 1 year ago | You know what I don't really listen to music that old. Actually I may have listened to a few songs and now know that it was from that era. But I'll have to check it out and see what it's like.

Ruthep (5936) | 1 year ago | An interesting thing about AC/DC is that Bon Scott picked Brian Johnson out as his successor. They saw Johnson sing and Scott said if he dies that Johnson was who they should get. Kinda wild huh. I love AC/DC too.

|
cyntrow (2699) | 1 year ago | i can see that. The similarities in their vocals are amazing. Johnson took over and didn't miss a beat. Fantastic.
I had a major crush on angus from a very early age. No, it's not the schoolboy uniform. LOL

Ruthep (5936) | 1 year ago | Look for their box set. It has Back in Black along with older stuff. It is called Bonfire.

cyntrow (2699) | 1 year ago | I saw the "For those about to Rock" concert in the late 80's. We had front row seats and they had real cannons. LOL. I was deaf for a month.

Ruthep (5936) | 1 year ago | Cool. I have never seen them. I would very much like to.

|
cyntrow (2699) | 1 year ago | They put on a great show. Well worth the trip. There is something amazingly fun about hearing 15000 people shouting "Oy".
| |
|
|
ayumitakashi (2230) | 1 year ago | That sounds like a lot of fun. You must have had a blast in that concert.
| |
|
|
cyntrow (2699) | 1 year ago | I have to admit, I used to date a professional ticket scalper, so have been to more front row concerts than the average girl. That's why I have a hearing problem at the ripe old age of 39. LOL. It was well worth it.

3. cyntrow (2699) | 1 year ago | Bohemien Rapsody(sp) is my favorite "Queen" song. I actually had the pleasure of seeing them perform it live in 1977 when I went to the concert with my parents. I love Freddie Murcury's voice and I feel we lost him too soon. You might appreciate other Queen songs if you like this one. "Somebody to Love" is one of my favorites.
I'm 39. My heyday was the 80's, but I'm at an age where I was greatly exposed to music of the 60's and 70's and I'm still young enough to appreciate music from the 90's and today. GOod luck in your quest. If you need anything, let me know.

4. momalisa65 (993) | 1 year ago | Oh yea, I love a lot of Queen songs. It doesn't matter that you were not born earlier. You can still enjoy that music now. My boys are around your age and they listen to all my old music from the 80's and they love it. I still have all my old CD's from back then and it's funny to see my boys borrowing them and not wanting to give them back! Lol! They like Journey, Def Leppard, and The Cars. That's all I can think of at the moment.

6. myklj999 (7262) | 1 year ago | I own 6 Queen albums, and while "Bohemian Rhapsody" is a great song, I've heard it way too many times and have become somewhat tired of it. But Queen was/is a great band, and have many songs just as good as "Bohemian". I just got burned out from over-saturation of it on the radio.
| |
| |
|
|
cyntrow (2699) | 1 year ago | How about the "Flash Gordon" theme. Don't hear much of that on the radio-"goo goo, radio ga ga." LMAO. Sorry, couldn't resist.

7. KrauseHome (13484) | 1 year ago | Well, take it personally from someone who remembers when "Bohemian Rhapsody" was quite popular, this type of music really takes me back when I hear it. I will admit, that is some Great music to listen too as well. I really also enjoyed it when Constantine did it on American Idol a couple of yrs. ago as well.

ayumitakashi (2230) | 1 year ago | You know what I actually did see that season of American Idol but I don't think I saw when Constantine sang that song.

| 9. shyloo (94) | 1 year ago | Hi! I like that song! I already heard of it before but I forgot the title until I heard it again in American Idol, when Michael sang it. His rendition was very good that I thought he can make it to the top, but anyways.... So I searched about it and know that it's a Queen song..yeah, its so nice, the lyrics are good and the melody, wow! it pierces through my soul....im 22 though, and i like alternative songs, but this one, no matter how old it is, still sounds very good, just like bonnie tyler's total eclipse of the heart, you agree? hehhe

ayumitakashi (2230) | 1 year ago | Oh yeah. The lyrics are superb and the melody is just amazing. I haven't heard of Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the heart but I'm going to look for it.

10. gtargirl (1284) | 1 year ago | I think it's an awesome song. Queen, I believe, was the first rock band to play around with so many parts of harmony. It was almost an rock opera in itself. The music back then truly was outstanding but then again, today's music might also be appreciated by generations still to come. Although I disagree with Freddie Mercury's lifestyle he was a great entertainer, singer/writer. Keep finding those classics, my friend.

cyntrow (2699) | 1 year ago | "Although I disagree with Freddie Mercury's lifestyle"
Why did you have to bring that into a fun discussion?? Chat about sexuality elsewhere. This is about the music.
| |
|
|
gtargirl (1284) | 1 year ago | My bad. He was a great entertainer and songwriter. Queen also did the theme song for "Highlander." Awesome song.

|
|
cyntrow (2699) | 1 year ago | Agreed. I loved the "Flash Gordon" theme as well.

|
ayumitakashi (2230) | 1 year ago | Their music was really awesome and I am still searching for more classics out there. Queen will always be an outstanding rock band and it has contributed a lot to music.
