Bohemian Rhapsody

You know what I don't really listen to music that old. Actually I may have listened to a few songs and now know that it was from that era. But I'll have to check it out and see what it's like.

Yeah 80's music was and still is sick! I'm on a search of bands from around that time period. Like I told one of the other people on this discussion I'm really into AC/DC too. It's cool that you grew up during that age.

An interesting thing about AC/DC is that Bon Scott picked Brian Johnson out as his successor. They saw Johnson sing and Scott said if he dies that Johnson was who they should get. Kinda wild huh.

i can see that. The similarities in their vocals are amazing. Johnson took over and didn't miss a beat. Fantastic.

I had a major crush on angus from a very early age. No, it's not the schoolboy uniform. LOL

That is wild. I was just reading some stuff on that whole thing and it's sad. I want to get their album Back in Black and some of their other earlier works if possible. Hopefully I'll be able to.

Look for their box set. It has Back in Black along with older stuff.

I saw the "For those about to Rock" concert in the late 80's. We had front row seats and they had real cannons. LOL. I was deaf for a month.

Cool. I have never seen them. I would very much like to.

They put on a great show. Well worth the trip. There is something amazingly fun about hearing 15000 people shouting "Oy".

That sounds like a lot of fun. You must have had a blast in that concert.

I have to admit, I used to date a professional ticket scalper, so have been to more front row concerts than the average girl. That's why I have a hearing problem at the ripe old age of 39. LOL. It was well worth it.

"Somebody to Love" is one of my favorites too.
I also like "Killer Queen" and "Fat Bottom Girls" Lol.

Fat Bottom Girls is such a fun song to sing along with.

You saw them in concert! That is so cool. I'm actually listening to the song right now. But I'll make sure to check out Somebody to love. I appreciate music from those eras too. I love music from right now but I feel so free when I listen to music from the 70's, 80's and early 90's. Thanks

Bohemian Rhapsody is a great song; no doubt. But I think a far better song from the album it was originally released on ("A Night At The Opera") is "The Prophet's Song". It is (I think) the quintessential Queen song.

"A Night at the Opera" was a fantastic album. All of the songs are fabulous. I don't know that I could pick a favorite

I'm watching it right now and it's really cool.

I know it's like music from those eras where so... I really can't find the words right now but I feel so free and good whenever I listen to music from that time. I love traveling back in time and listening to songs like that. Right now I've really gotten into AC/DC and all those bands from back then. I'm going to check out Journey, Def Leppard and The Cars to see if I like them. Have a nice evening and Happy mylotting!

How about the "Flash Gordon" theme. Don't hear much of that on the radio-"goo goo, radio ga ga." LMAO. Sorry, couldn't resist.

Yeah I get like that sometimes with some songs that I just keep repeating over and over again. By the end I don't even want to look at the title or the name of the artist.

You know what I actually did see that season of American Idol but I don't think I saw when Constantine sang that song.

Queen in awesome and really cool. It's sad that Freddie died. And Queen will always live

Oh yeah. The lyrics are superb and the melody is just amazing. I haven't heard of Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the heart but I'm going to look for it.

My bad. He was a great entertainer and songwriter. Queen also did the theme song for "Highlander." Awesome song.

Agreed. I loved the "Flash Gordon" theme as well.

Their music was really awesome and I am still searching for more classics out there. Queen will always be an outstanding rock band and it has contributed a lot to music.
