Where can I get downloads for Doctor Who? | | I watched this season and I've been able to download Seasons 3 and 4 from mininova but can't find Seasons 1 and 2. Our video store doesn't have any Doctor Who. I'm really getting into this show and would like to see it from the beginning. I'm catching some re-runs on BBC on the weekend but I'm not sure if they are in order or not. Doesn't matter, I just want to get caught up on the doctor. Anyone know where I can get free downloads?

Schnitelli (30) | 3 months ago | Okay I feel like a complete jerk posting this, but: that's illegal >. < sorry, but downloading media that others pay for is sort of wrong, just go to a Barnes and Noble store, the DVD/CD section usually carries old Doctor Who chapters, even new ones. If you put that part about your store not carrying it in to convince us that you're willing to pay, just try going to B&N or even order DVDs online from Amazon.com please don't steal.... I hate it when people claim to be fans of something then I find out they've illegally downloaded all sorts of content related to it- what kind of a fan steals from the people who brought them the thing to be a fan of in the first place???

thelastwolf113 (2009) | 3 months ago | I'm not trying to convince you of anything. I'd be willing to rent it, I don't have the money to buy complete series. I'm pretty new to the computer-thing and all I hear is download this, download that. No one's ever said it's illegal. How do these sites exist if it's illegal?

| Schnitelli (30) | 3 months ago | "In most countries, it is illegal to distribute copyrighted material without the permission of the copyright holder. Because of their potential to be used in breach of copyright as well as in compliance, many torrent trackers have been the target of cease and desist lawsuits from copyright bodies; this despite the fact that a tracker does not actually host or distribute any copyrighted data itself. A complicating factor is that torrent tracking websites operate in a variety of countries, including countries with copyright laws that differ form the country of origin of the copyrighted material, and countries in which different actions may be legal or illegal" - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BitTorrent_tracker Yeah, but seriously think about it: why would they want people to just take things they're trying to make money off of? Anyways, as for your comments about not being able to afford whole seasons- yeah, I have that problem to! I can only buy DVDs as a luxury once in a while, that's life. That doesn't mean we should just start taking things... Anyways, Amazon.com is aweeesomeeee

Better than some dodgy download off a pirate site. If money's an issue, you might very well be able to buy second hand DVDs through Ebay, or failing that just buy DVDs as you can afford them, concentrating on the stories you most want to watch first.

thelastwolf113 (2009) | 3 months ago | Series cost about $50 or more, 4 season makes it $200 to watch something I'll only view once. I'll just wait for the re-runs. It was free the first time on TV and it'll be free in re-runs. If I had lots of money I probably wouldn't care and would spend it on something so frivolous, but alas, I don't. Second hand is a great idea, if it's at a reasonable price. But it seems to me that the re-runs will be my only option at this point. Thanks for the idea! I will look into used DVDs on eBay. I'm getting all excited now, thinking I'll get a great deal!
