LA now banning . . .

Boy That Isn't Cool. French Fries Are Good For You. Well The Fat And Stuff Maybe Isn't But they do have a lot of esssential vitamins your body needs. I love french fries. I hope they do not try and ban them here. They really should not have the right to ban french fries. Like hholt01 states, It Goes against personal freedom. Someone needs to protest this madness. Maybe a rally or march is in order to save the French Fries.

Isn't it your rights as a citizen of the U.S. to eat what we want as long as we can pay for it? As long as I can remember that has always been the case. Besides a lot of fine dining places serve the same kinds of food. Who are these officials
and were they elected to their position? If so de-elect them.

I like fast food sometimes. Some of the chains have went downhill though. I cannot see how they can close them all down in that area though. those businesses have a right to run anywhere they like, especially if they are already established there. I think people have the right to fast food also.

I agree, if a person wants to eat fast food they should be able to. I mean, obviously if you want it that much you will travel a few more miles to get it! We live in a country that people have the right to do what they want, as long as it isn't illegal, so from that angle I think it's wrong. Also, I think it stinks that the government is constantly trying to run our lives! I mean, come on, we are responsible for our actions--I don't know anyone who thinks that fast food is the healthiest option, so it's not as if people are dumb and think it's good for you. When I eat something from a place like that, you can be assured that I am not thinking "oh, this is so healthy" . People have a right to eat food they think tastes good, and the government needs to back off--I'm sure most the government officials are throwing back big macs just as much as the average American! But really I don't think it will make a difference, people will just go to a different area.

Leave it to Los Angeles to start banning things like this. It is only a matter of time till we have the government telling us everything we need and don't need. I know they're hearts are in the right place but I don't understand how they can say to do something. And all of us have to comply with it.

The thing is they aren't closing the ones already there but will not allow any new ones to open. The city panel wants to have a healthier choice restaurants to open in those ares. The thing is will people go to them if they are available and the prices as comparable as say McDonald's $1.00 menu? If you had a choice of a salad for say a $.00 and a chicken sandwich which would you choose. I think that most people would feel that the chicken is a better choice for the $ because they don't know how to eat healthy.

Los Angeles really does think that people will pay attention to these laws. And they are only banning the new openings. If they really think this food is so dangerous why don't they give the poor people good food. LA needs to do its job and not poke its snout in other peoples business. Just too funny.
