Many of us consumers prefer buying instant foods like can goods, instant noodles, chips, cookies etcetera...Are you sure that what you are buying are healthy and diet-friendly foods? How often do you buy such foods like this by merely checking first the labels or the nutritional facts on it?. See,... we are looking for healthy foods and trying to avoid such things the can give us sickness, and yet we always forget to look for the important details that might prevent us from getting diseases,,

I'm a label conscious for buying food groceries(can foods and others)..Every time i will buy a certain grocery like in can food, i check first the nutritional facts..To see the nutritional contents and value, where was its manufacturing company, and especially the expiry date..what a nice topic..Keep posting norman

I think that people who buy boxed foods like Ramen Noodle and think they are healthy need to get their butts in a nutrition course ASAP. I really believe that people buy foods base don the ease of use rather than how healthy they may be.

I try to avoid prepackaged foods for the deceptive packaging. Products are labeled in ways to lure you in and get you to buy them, but they often aren't as good for you as you thing. I've found that I've lost a lot of weight by making things like my own bread, buns, and desserts and excluding high fructose corn syrup from my diet. That stuff is in everything and really packs on the pounds, for me.

i am very meticulous and indeed choosy on what i buy. i begun to become health conscious when one from the family became terminally ill and the best thing i could have done is to provide the best dietary modification without having her resistance decline. we have familial history of some dreaded diseases like hypertension and cancer that is why prior to purchasing any product, i make sure that they are nutritious enough to somehow get rid from acquiring such diseases. i usually buy fresh fruit juices, fresh fruits and vegetables that are good sources of vitamin C and B complex. they are also known antioxidants thereby decreasing the risk of cancer. when it comes to canned goods, most of my grocery goods are sardines and tuna which are good sources of calcium, omega 3 and cyanocobalamine. milk, i go for non fat milk. pro-digestion and pro-weight management milk preparation. i also have cereals and oats for our fiber source to promote digestion and prevent from getting colon obstruction and even cancer. i do not settle for meat products for our protein source instead i buy chicken without skin. hahaha. thanks for the post!

I read everything. But I don't buy too many processed foods anyway.
Most of my food is from scratch because I don't like all the stuff that gets put into most quick fix foods and snack foods.

It's really important to read the label facts before buying it..that's the essence of instant foods..Expiry date is mostly i checked from buying food groceries..cheers!

I'm big on reading nutritional facts, but mainly look at the calories and fat. I like foods high in protein and fiber, also. I try to do my best on buying healthy foods, but some of my hubby's favorite "quick foods" are some of the most unhealthy ones out there (ramen noodles, chef boyardee ravioli, etc).

As a diabetic, and also someone who has to watch their weight I watch labels carefully. Actually, when I grocery shop most of my purchases are from the "outside" aisles. This means I buy most of my food from the meat, veggie, fruit and dairy sections. Very little comes from pre-packaged or "junk" food.
