Is Everquest 2 "growing old"?

I have been with Everquest 2 for almost 5 years and I have noticed it has changed. Many friends have left to game in Vanguard and recently, to Age of Conan. I find I no want to game there like I used to. Am I going through burn out? Is it the game? Everquest is still a great game and I will hate to end my account but what is the point if its becoming a hassle just to fine new friends to group and roleplay with? Anyone feel the same as me? Should I take a break from EQ2? Is it the game?
