One of the cause of these diseases is being overweight, so we need to monitor our weight and should be conscious about this. But how do we monitor this? We have the so called Body Mass Index or BMI, it is a universal measure of body fat based on your height and weight. But how do we compute our BMI?
There is an online computation for this and all you have to do is to input your Height and your weight.
But I have a formula for this that I want to share here so that you can compute your BMI at your own and even share this to your relatives and friends.
Here is the formula;
BMI= weight in kilograms / (height in m)square
For example;
weight=56 kg
height=5'2" = 62 in.
get the height value in meter, = 62 x 0.0254 = 1.5748 m
BMI=56 / (1.5748m)square
BMI=56 / 2.48
BMI=22.6 NORMAL
BMI Cut-off points;
Chronic Energy Deficiency(CED) 30.0
NOTE:
1 kg=2.2. lbs
1 in. = 0.0254 meters
1 ft= 12 inches
Have a nice day and keep our BMI always in Normal
