Potty Training??

my youngest is almost 2, I introduced him to it. he started showing signs by taking off his diaper, that is one sure sign, once he gets the right idea then he'll remove his diaper when it's messy so beware that's always fun to clean up. he'll also let you know that he's messy but that's not til later mine hasn't gotten to that stage yet, but he does take off his diaper.

My daughter just turned two. She is still not fully potty trained but she is starting to tell us if she wants to poop in the bathroom. Sometimes she pees there as well. I believe parents should not pressure the kids to learn to be potty trained. You will just get frustrated. They will eventually learn to express themselves. Just keep explaining that when they feel like going to the bathroom to tell you. It's a trial and error thing. Good luck, hope you become successful soon.

My son was 18 months old when he became potty trained. I would sit him on his potty in the mornings when woke up, and have him stay there until he did something. Once he did, I would congratulate him, and let him know that he did something that made me happy and that I was pride of him. I would sit him there before bed also. Eventually, he realized that he should use the potty and not his pamper. Of course during the night I would still put on a pamper. It didn't take long for him, I am so glad. I would always ask him if he had to go potty. The repetition of asking made he understand that the potty was where he should go.

My son is 3 years old and is just now potty training. I didn't push him until he was absoultly ready. Then he started taking off his diaper and told me when he had to pee. I had to litterly allow him to run around naked for the longest time for him to stop peeing in all of the training clothes. Pull ups do nothing at all they make him feel like its still a diaper. So now he puts on pull up only at night and when we go places. Goood luck. they say that boys are harder to train. If he/she doesnt get it right or seems like they don't totally get it, don't get discouraged just wait a little bit longer and try again. They may not be ready.

My 2 and a half year old son has just started presenting me with his nappy when he thinks its full, and as soon as he's done number 2's he asks to be changed, i'm encouraging him to tell me when he needs a wee so i can get him on the potty, hes doing well.He's my 3rd child and the other 2, one of each were just after 3 years old at the same stage .Let them learn at their own pace .

There are no signs to know the time actually, you can start it at around 1-1/2 years which was when i started potty training for my daughter, it all depends on how well they coperate and like it...my daughter got fully trained when she was 2

I read a book before. The book stated that the later a baby is potty trained, the faster the baby will be able to learn. Another thing is that you should start potty training when your baby is able to understand what you say. It will be alot easier that way and you dont have to stress out yourself.
