To All the Smokers Out There,..Does Brand Matters?

well when i smoked i couldnt stand anything other than marlboro ultra lights but if you mean health wise ultra, light, regular will all kill you in the same rate studies say.. but i just didnt like the taste of the full strength or other brands

I do not smoke, but my parents do. My mother smokes some form of Marlboro, and my father smokes Kool. I have never seen them smoke anything other than those two brands unless they're "bumming" one off of someone because they forgot theirs. So, I think that brand matters, at least to them. I am glad to hear that you have quit, and I hope that you can keep up with it. I am proud of you for making the decision, and I wish you good luck.

Yes brand does matter. Not that it has to be a "name" brand or any thing but I have picked what I like and thats what I buy. Even if I see another brand on sale I like what I smoke. I have changed brands and types a few times. I used to smoke regular now I smoke Menthol. I used to smoke shorts now I smoke 100's. When I moved from FL to PA I switch brands because of cost. PA is A LOT more expensive then FL. In fact its almost double what you pay in FL! So yeah to me brand does matter.

I knew a guy who smoked some brand named 555. He said this brand is strong so i smoke it. Brands depend on the strength or maybe the quality of the material used inside in the manufacture of the same.

For me, my brand is Philip Morris Menthol..It taste like a menthol candy..Soft and cold when you inhale it.

I'm not a smoker...but i have few friends who smoke regularly..And they prefer the lucky strike..I asked them why, they said it's appropriate on their taste..Maybe, it depends on the taste...

Good for your to quit smoking, but I think Marlboro Light bbrand is still too strong because I like Benson & Hedges and I find them not so strong and it don't catches my throat like the other brands.

honestly, i should quit. not supposed to smoke at all. its redicules and costs me more than i can afford, but i've tried way to many times. i liked GPC's and they were cheaper, but when i moved have not been able to find them so now smoke the closest to them. Malboro ultra lights.

Smokers do have their own brands, but in emergency smoker can over-rule and adopt to any brand. I have not been smoker, but I learnt from my elder brother, who smoked five pkts of filter panama having 20 cigrettes/pack for 50 long yrs and dies due to lungs cancer. Smoking is injurious to health. Have a nice time, by not smoking.
