I got a tattoo at 61 years old...finally!!!!

I think there nothing wrong about it,it just a tattoo..but i never had one i am thinking that it just make your body dirty but it is my opinion,we have different opinion..and as long as you are happy there is nothing wrong with it.

No I dont think you're crazy. I say 'good for you' if its something you wanted to do. I think its better to get something like that done after you've given it serious thought. There must be thousands of people who have them on impulse and then wish they hadn't!

Of course it's okay. Nothing wrong with it at all. Like you say you are sixty one years old. You have an independent mind so go ahead and do something for yourself. We all need to give ourselves something special from time to time.
I personally wouldn't get one but that is my preference. Good luck and my hat's off to you.

I have one tattoo that I have had since I was about 25 (I am now 40). My gift to myself when I lose a certain amount of weight is to get another one. We'll see that that goes. LOL

I think that it is awesome that you did it...after all you said that you wanted it for years. I don't think your age matters in the least! Good for you!
I got my first one when I was 16. My last one (for now)when I was 29 (right before I turned 30 this year). I have 4 right now and for my final one I would like to get one of all 4 of my children's names.

lol, yes years ago there was a big stigma attached to women getting tattoos. If you got one, you were automatically labeled trash.

I'm 50, when I was about 16 I wanted a little butterfly on my pelvic bone. I didn't get it of course. Taboo back then.

My sister is 45 and she has wanted a little mouse tattooed on her big toe for a few years, she is battling with religous conviction right now I think. Our mom use to call her 'mousey' when she was little.

I think if your okay with it, that's all that matters. I had problems when everyone started getting them years ago because of the stigma that was attached. It's not here nor there anymore.

Good for you! There are times when I am thinking of having a tattoo but I do not know how will my kids handle it. I am more daring than them in some ways. I hope you will gt the courage to have another one.

I have to give you credit, your more brave than me. I have wanted a tattoo but have not gotten one still to this day. And I'm in my 30's so thumbs up to you for having the guts to get one.

doesnt matter how small it is I saw the picture and i loveit . I always thought about getting a small butterfly one too . I just dont know where to put it, would have to be somewhere where i could cover it . i always liked the small of the back or the foot . my friend has a fairy one on her calf, and i dont think i could put one there . I am picky at times so it would have to be something with water, butterfly, or the mets .

It's very small and tasteful. If you like it, and your family doesn't mind, then what does it matter what anyone else thinks? Family comes first. Good on you!
