Were off to see the wizard the wonderful wizard of Oz!  

Good question!! If I have to pick just one, it would be my list-making and planning that never actally comes to fruition...so, to do all (or even some) of the things on my Bucket List.

Wow. First off all this is a great discussion you have started. It is one that has a lot of thought put into it and on this site it is hard to find that sometimes. It is funny that you brought this movie up for me because my daughters and all my nieces and nephews are going to dress as the cast for halloween, we even have the mayor of munchkin land lol. There is a lot of false hope put out by people and wishes that someone else will come along and fix their problems. If I could follow a yellow brick road and get a problem solved it would probably my temper or giving me more patience however you would word it. I have a hard time stopping and breathing before blowing up about sometimes simple things. This brings me a lot of stress on myself and also a lot of arguments between my husband and I. What would you ask the wizard for?

Great topic!! I would ask the wiz, What am I gonna end up doing with my life? I'm a good dad and a good husband. But this may sound a little selfish but, what about me? Am I ever going to amount to anything other then a good man,good husband,good father? Not that those things are not good enough for me ,or not accomplishments but what mark will I make on the world?I have always had a feeling I would end up helping a lot of people.Who knows maybe I already have?

I heard a myth about why the wizard of oz has that name. the writer who wrote this book was working in his store and telling this story day by day in continuation to the children who came to buy things and he while he was inventing the story he saw a folder numbered from o-z, that was while he was looking for a name for the wizard.. but maybe the name came from job from the bible who was born in the land of utz= this word in hebrew is meaning "advice someone" something like that. anyway this is a wonderful movie which I relate the most I think because all of my life I was looking for a guiding soul. you can get advice but anyway you will have to walk your own road at the end..

my lack of self-confidence. which has led to a problem with leaving the house and being out among other ppl. im far too nervous, constantly worried that ppl are staring at me for some small (and to me they are big) thing or another..when in reality im sure nobody ever notices..i think.
course then i happen to catch someone looking straight at me and all that mumbo jumbo i just typed goes out the window and im SURE they've seen whatever "it" happened to be that i was worried about on that particular day.

so i would want the Wizard to give me self-confidence..if i had that, i wouldnt care if ppl were staring and criticizing me or not!

I am pretty sure there are many wizards and there are many ways of finding answers, getting advice, help etc. This the wonder of being alive. We might not have all the answers but the journey is seldom boring.

the wizard of oz is my favourite film! i have a canvas painting of the original poster in my living room! if i had the chance to go and see the wizard i'd ask him to make me more able to speak up when i think someone is doing wrong by me, so many times i keep quiet in order to keep the peace even though i know that people are taking advantage or doing things that upset me and sometimes i wish i had the guts to speak up and tell them they're not being fair!! good discussion!!!

If I were to go see the wizard, I would ask him to give me confidnece to talk more because I am deaf, my voice is not exactly perfect even if I sould like a laten deaf person which is ok. But I tend mumble and I wish that I could just talk normal even if I wear HAs*hearing aides* it notthing guarenteed, though I love ASL the most so maybe if more people use ASL it be most best.
Maybe the wizaed give me a new brain too hehe I wish I was supersmart.

I'm so sorry for coming in so late. However, if I ever find the Wizard, I'll request him to grant me some luck so that I may be able to become successful in whatever I do.
