Lets Bring the Baby Shower To Mylots Very Own Minnie!

Oh I so cant wait till I can take walks again this staying off my feet is driving me crazy.

A baby stroller is a great idea.

And Minnie, I know how you feel. I had to stay off my feet for the last 2 months of my last pregnancy, because my ankles kept swelling and the doctors thought it might have been pre-eclampsia. I was lucky in that nothing bad came of it, but I havted not being able to go out and do anything.

Mine is the cramping the doctor just wants me to stay off my feet now but its so hard lol. Too make it worse I have restless legs syndrome.

I second Oreo. These can never be too much is yet.

You can tell you know me a bit lol. Candy and fruit with my bath stuff its perfect.

Oh what a great idea you can never have enough blankets uring these Minnesota Winters and handmade blankies are so much better then anything you can buy in a store. That is one thing that sucks when you dont have a grandma anymore no one to make you stuff like that.

Thats a great idea! It's hard to find someone who makes homemade blankies anymore. It seems to be a dying trend.

I think it has to do with having the time to do it..with everyone's lives being somewhat hectic...we can barely get those things that need to be done, let alone anything extra....

I love making them and giving them away....

Hi Minnie...how are you doing? I still have the afghan that my grama's sister made for me...she made one for each of my sisters too! I am making some this winter for my son's girlfriend's sisters....I love doing it...

It gets cold where you are...and I remember growing up in Wisconsin, and how cold it was there.....

Looks very nice I have never owned anything that fancy. The only diaper bag i have right now is the free ones you get from the formula people. Sometimes the celebrities have some silly stuff they waste money on but a diaper bag is a good one to splurge on. Thanks

I never had a diaper bag so fancy as those ones either lol. I did have one that actually came with the stroller we bought though, so the material matched the stroller which was kind of cool.

They sure do look elegant and fancy, don't they?

Oh I hope hes cute oh wait im married opps dont tell my hubby lol. Oh my nails done they are so bad looking I have not taken care of them in awhile. They are actually bending too they look bad.

LOL. I could do with one of those myself so long as he's cute:P I don't usually go in for that kind of thing, but hey, a cute guy and all ... I could be persuaded.

baby showers are lots of fun. You get to celebrate a new babys soon arrival and have fun with all your friends and family well the girls as it is more of a girly thing.

Right now, I'm broody LOL. Minnie here is having her baby shower, and a lady I know who lives in our building just had a baby girl and brought her home on Monday, so I got to drool over her for a little while too lol. It's made me sit and think "Wow, I'd love another baby" and already my partner is panicking at the thought LOL!

Baby showers are a great way for a pregnant woman to spend some quality time with her friends before the baby is born, so that they can celebrate, not just the arrival of the baby, but their friendship too, which I think is great. As Minnie said, it's very much a girly thing though.

lol thats funny thankfully this was a planned one but I have been there before lol. Oh thanks for the laugh. If I dont stop laughing i may go into labor early.

As for the pampering - well, knowing what pregnancy is like and the toll it can take on a woman's body, I figure she should get as much pampering as possible before the baby is born.

Because once the baby is born, and you find yourself up at 8am, wearing a bathrobe, hair stuck up all over the place, with a screaming hungry baby, and 2 kids totally not listening to what you say, you may just look back on the pampering you had during your pregnancy and realize that it's not all bad

Sounds like life now minus the screaming baby that will come soon lol. Well no robe yet too warm but i dont bother to get dressed i just lay in jammies all day.
